I don't want to be the neysayer here, but I must ask one question: With what military force will Bush attack Iran? Our forces are stretched so thin as it is that people are being called back to Iraq on third and fourth deployments. With the forces in Iraq, Afg. and those that we need to guard...you know...the homeland, can we even consider a military strike on Iran? Moreover, one must take into account that no one has beaten Iran (Persia) on its own turf in millenia. Not saying at all that we couldn't, but to do it with a less-than-full-strength military force seems imprudent. Plus, attacking Iran may very well be the absolute wrong move. Right now, they've got a lunatic in charge who is controlled by those who are even crazier. And it seems that the Iranians are getting tired of it. There is more and more evidence of strong dissent to this government because they aren't actually doing anything for the citizenry. while they spend billions on nuclear refinement and relief to the Lebanese, Iranians are dealing with record inflation, unemployment and a tanking economy. Saber rattling and nuclear programs are fine for the international stage, but the Iranian government hasn't appeased its own citizens - and that will be to its detriment. The one thing that we could do to galvenize the Iranian people is to attack them. Attacking would give them a reason to unite - a common enemy. Why distract from the internal object of their scorn?

The radicals in charge of Israel and AIPAC are zealots - same zealots that incited the Judea revolts against the Romans in 67 AD and 133 AD. These radicals are the most dangerous in the region not Iran who overthrew a corrupt Shah, a “US puppet”, in ‘79.
