Having read all talkbacks (up to this point) I have come to the conclusion of just who this Fred from NY is, that his response is in the #1 position, he is non other then a fiction of the Y Net News editor and is used to gauge the tempo and ideas of the readers opinion. It is the same method used to get a sampling of the publics in samplings or surveys. It certainly doe not reflect nor is it the accepted ideas of the editorial staff of any sane Israeli newspaper (except for HaArtz as they are unrepentant suicidal Jews)
32. masada option
slolemnman ,   nahariya   (04.05.07)
we had better hurry up and commit suicide or we will all be murdered soon!!
33. #5 you hit the nail on the head
solemn man ,   nahariya   (04.05.07)
The rules at present are ;we lose and we lose everything - we are massacred .If anybody is left alive they are sent into exile . They lose -we return to square one and start again. They must pay a price for waging war.We need to change the rules.

Fred Farkelsteinman? Sure Farid! nice try, but no cigar, no oscar, and no Samaria & Judea.

terrorism from the arabs. Look what they have done with Gaza! Did they build a peaceful, productive area to prove they are worthy of statehood? No, they build a center of terrorism, importing/smuggling in weapons while their people starve, go homeless, and are deluged by their own waste up to their eyeballs. The governing faction ,hamas, say they will settle for nothing less than a palestinian state encompassing all of Israel under sharia law. So, who is there to compromise with? To negotiate with?
37. #10 Farid again....
Yaakov ,   USA   (04.06.07)
Again, no cigar. Israel never annexed Gaza, Samaria, or Judea, thus, there is no requirement to grant citizenship. They are contested areas. Did Jordan or Egypt grant citizenship to the so called Palestinians from 1948-67? Why no intefada against them? Why no demand for self rule and nationhood at that time? East Jerusalem only had an arab majority in 1967 because the Jordanians and so called Palestinians ethnically cleansed and massacred the majority Jewish population in 1948. There were many Jewish communities in Samaria, Judea and Gaza before they were ethnically cleansed and massacred by the arabs in 1948. By the way, only a fool would believe your name is Fred Farkelsteinman. Your facts are as phoney and skewed as your false identity.
38. Arab 'peace' plan
Yaakov ,   USA   (04.06.07)
This is not a peace plan and they know it! Anyone with an IQ above 70 should be ashamed if they don't recognize it. It's a suicide plan intended for Israel. If the arabs were genuinely serious about working out a peace deal, they would negotiate with Israel BEFORE any treaty is signed. Sign a contract and then negotiate the details? Come on now!!! Don't waste our time with nonsense.

Yaakov ,   USA   (04.06.07)
All you have to offer are your biased distortions, not facts. 242 does NOT require Israel to return to the 1949 armistice lines, but to SECURE BORDERS. Besides, it was arabs who rejected this resolution!!! Secondly, Israel is simply NOT going to agree to 4 million hostile arab jihadists entering Israel to create havoc. Jordan is 78% of the former province/mandate area of Palestine. Jews are forbidden to live there. While we're on the subject of refugees, and especially since this is an ARAB PROPOSAL, let's discuss the 900,000 Jews forced out of their homes, in some cases going back thousands of years, forced to leave their property behind, from arab countries. They have had no 68 years of their own UN welfare agency and the billions of dollars dispensed by it. They have not been blowing up cafes, mosques, weddings, school buses, public buses, etc. in arab countries, organizing international boycotts against arab countries, passing reems of meaningless UN resollutions, etc for the past 58 years. As for plundered land, arabs are indigenous to arabia, not Israel, Samaria, and Judea. You folks are only there because you conquered and plundered the land in the 5th century.

(04.06.07)
You are wrong, wrong, wrong! In 1948, when the British were leaving, they left the military hardware they ere not taking to the arabs, not to Jews. Israel received assistance from no country--including the US and Europeans--in the 1948-9 war. Weapons deals were made, but there were no gifts, and they had to be smuggled in. It was not until after the 1067 war that Israel had any US armaments, and the arabs were armed by the USSR, along with USSR pilots and technicians. Israelis had French Mirage Jets.. As far as compromising and following the urgins of the US and EU, Israel has done far more than the arabs in this regard, despite continuin.
41. to #9 The true power of Israel
Arul ,   Malaysia   (04.06.07)
It is not US or EU that made Israel win the war. Even without their help Israel would have won, because the God of Israel protects her, and fights for her. She does things that even the super power could n't do. Remember "Entebe" incident and also the US hostage crisis in Iran ??? US failed in that attempt. But Israel achievied its mission with the world wondering in utter amazement.
42. Saudi "peace" plan, de-Orwellized
MG ,   USA   (04.06.07)
According the the Saudi so called "peace" plan the Arabs are willing to recognize only a Jewish state that commits, (a) Military suicide by retreating to indefensible pre-1967 armistice lines, and (b) Demographic suicide by flooding itself with Arab settlers though a "right of return" for refugees. And until then, the Arab "peace" plan incorporates nothing but incessant Arab terrorism and rocket attacks on Israel. This is not unlike saying to someone: "I recognize your right to exist, but only if you swallow this cyanide... And till then I'll try to kill you at every occasion!"
43. Entire conflict explained in less than 20 lines
MG ,   USA   (04.06.07)
According to Sharia law, the waging of a Holy War of Extermination (Jihad) against Infidel nations is every Muslim's perpetual command, with Infidels to be given 3 choices: (a) Embrace Islam; (b) Submit to Islamic rule as an oppressed Dhimmi minority (the so-called "Israeli-Palestinian Binational State"); (c) Death and destruction. There are only 3 ways to prevent this: (a) Decisively defeat and expel Arab hordes beyond insurmountable boundaries (happened in history only in Iberia, Sicily, Malta); (b) Sign a temporary truce (Hudna) which Arab jihadists are allowed for up to 10 years, until strong enough to renew attacks and offer above 3 choices again (back to Sq. 1!); (c) Flee and emigrate to another land. Arab leaders would rather eat Pork than break above Sharia commands! If they do, their verdict is certain death. See Abdullah I of Jordan, Anwar Sadat, or what Arafat was afraid of at Camp David II. There you have it: Entire foundation of Arab-Israel conflict (and War on Terror) explained in less than 20 lines. Everything else is just empty talk!
44. it hasn't come to our notion that Saudis are your friends
(04.06.07)
to conspire on you as ALL other friends !
45. TRUTH
Joel ,   Tampa, FL   (04.06.07)
Shaul Rosenfeld has a clear understanding about the danger eminating from the scorners that rule in Jerusalem. They are beyond hearing. Their hearts are set on evil and they are going to lead Israel into an horrific war, which Praise the Lord much of the Arab world will not survive.
46. #43 is right!! Reuven Brauner for Prime Minister!!
Ziv ,   Jerusalem   (04.06.07)
47. It is not the arab peace intiative itself
observer   (04.07.07)
the Plan has nothing less than the UN resolutions, accepted by Israel before. Maybe it's just a probe of "good intentions"; of the the Israeli side. Or, it could be a "conspiracy" to expose Israel ! The botom line is; the arab diplomacy is catching the lead, and "never, never again" !
