Today's Palestinians are nothing like those of decades ago. So why are Israeli politicians offering the very same old solutions to the conflict, such as land for peace and acceptance of some refugees? And why aren't they questioning enough those policies that allow the establishment of a fifth column in Israel? There is an urgent need to re-assess the whole Palestinian and Israeli Arab situation and make radical changes in policy, strategy and long term goals. This latest example makes it very clear. We are not talking about Arab families claiming dispossession anymore, but about a civil war between extremely fanatical factions which won't end until the most fanatical and murderous of them takes over. And they won't ever be the nice neighbors Israel dreams about. We are also talking about the fact that the new generations of Israeli Arabs are identifying themselves more and more with international Islam and turning against the Jewish state. So, we need Jewish innovative thinking to take a fresh new look at this situation and come up with better ideas. The old ones won't work and will result in more threats to Israel and its potential destruction.
