The treatment of the holocaust as just another event in which millions of people were is the way it is taught. Due to the lack of Christians as a whole not condeming the holocaust, that we would be aware of an impending holocaust and do everything to stop and protect. 2/3's of Americans do not believe that the jihadists are a threat and that they have not declared war on the US. Do you think that the same Americans believe that Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map?

When I read that so many young people in Isael fear a new holocaust, I felt a sense of grief for each of these young people I have never met. It brought up an old memory. There was a small room in my high school library where old periodicals were stored. One day I went in there and began looking trhough old Life magazines. I opened one, and there were the first photographs the world ever saw of the horrors from the "liberated" concentration camps of WWII. I can't express my feelings as a teenager when I saw what the human race is capable of doing to ourselves. At that moment, I said "never again" could this be allowed to happen. If the children of a fortress Israel do not feel safe, it indicates the policies of the past few decades are not working. A solution must be found so Arabs and Israelis can co-exist without fear from each other in the middle east. And the solutions need to be found soon, even if my country, the United States, has to underwrite most of the monetary cost of that solution. For the solutions are political and economic. They cannot be military, since military victories are all ultimatley temporary, and themselves sometimes raise the ghosts of "final solutions".
