2. It's kind of funny.... how they are all lining up

to offer their mediation services... Every dysfunctional country thinks it can solve Israel's problem. How about telling the Palestinians to stop the aggression and to live in peace alongside Israel?" Is that too difficult to understand? So, who's next on the mediation business lineup??? Donald Duck?

Get it out, before you worry about getting the splinter out of someone elses maybe if, say the govt of pakistan had control over its own tribal areas where its rumored that binladen is hiding out. Then they could suggest helping others outwith their problems. but Id bet it was leading questions by the interviewer that prompted such an outrageous statement although musharaff is probably one of the most likeable moslems ive ever heard speak
4. best plan
isiaiah   (04.22.07)
the best thing is to convince europe and the usa to give 500billion dollars cash to the arab states to take in the arabs of palestine for world peace they could live in rafah and el arish and after a one hundred year truce and denuclearization of the globe return to their ancestral homes if the world security situation was permissable .
5. #4 - I agree with the first part of your plan
Kevin G ,   Oregon   (04.22.07)
Make the Arabs take in the refugees that they should have taken decades ago. Give them a decent downpayment and a promise of further aid for the next 20 years or so, consisting of universities, industrial investment, whatever it takes to make them productive members of society. Jordan and Egypt could solve this problem in a very short time, just by assuming responsibility for them and taking them in. But it won't happen because Palestinians are a rather disruptive element and those governments fear for their own stability, so they prefer to keep them in their Palestinian enclave where they can go at each other instead, or threaten Israel rather than their own societies. But if the West really had the balls to demand that kind of solution, it would eventually happen. It's the only one that makes sense, the only one that could bring peace.
6. Not According to JPost!

Jerusalem Post story contradicts this one offered by Ynet. According to the JPost story, Israel has rejected Musharraf's offer. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1176152846070&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull
7. Shrewd Musharraf
Daniel ,   Israel   (04.22.07)
General Musharraf is an army man, he will understand Israel’s position much better than other Muslim leaders, but that is not sufficient, his hands are tied with loyalty for Islam, way back in 90s he left for Islamabad from India leaving top brass peace meetings with Indian Prime Minister (Atal Bihari Bajpaee) without formally informing any one. A undiplomatic move, he latter declared his move as "for sake of Islam" For long time; he wants sophisticated electronic system; which Israel developed; for his F16s. In case we give it to him; we shall strain relationship with India; which we cannot afford. There is no way we can trust him.
