1. Is Or A He Or Is Or A Her?
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (04.23.07)
Isn't his a great way to come into the "Jewish" State's birthday - a story about the stupidest rulings ever by one of Israel's courts. No "Or" in this decision - only deep darkness.
2. Hmmm...
Shakur Bu'Tay   (04.23.07)
If Israel does not follow G_d's laws, how can anyone call her rightous? It really is very black and white, you know. Can someone out there show me where this is how Kings David or Solomon would have ruled this way?
3. disgusting
eliyahu h ,   israel   (04.23.07)
just the thought of two ladies having a baby together makes me want to sick up.
4. Out of dark ages # 1-3

are the voices of those who responded before me. I couldn't be prouder of my country that allows personal growth and well-being without medieval prejudice. No matter what religion you are, it's the hateful among us and "them" that prevent this beautiful country from enjoying peace and prosperity.

U gonna call G-d a hater as well? He would have had problems with this as well.

sexual racists. In the larger scheme of things they don't matter. They still live in the shttetle of the middle ages.
7. To No. 4
NYC Girl   (04.23.07)
You have a right to be proud to be Israeli. The court acted with compassion, rather than exhibiting the sort of retrograde thinking that would have punished both this woman's life partner and their child. It's time the religious fanatics faced the reality that there will always be a segment of the population that is homosexual, and to treat them as second-class citizens is unconscionable in an enlightened society.
8. "The two had a baby together"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (04.23.07)
No, one of them was impregnated with a bag of some anonymous guy's sperm. The other one squeezing the turkey baster does not make her a father.
9. #4 right you are

10. Gay males forbidden nothing said about female gays!
healthy heterosexual   (04.24.07)
the prohibition on homosexuality as it appears in the Torah is against male homosexuality. The Torah doesn't write a single word about female homosexuality. Thing is if the Torah also speaks about freedom of choice -- free will. So if there folks out there who are happy with a partner of their own sex so be it...they should be happy and live well!
