Wait to have all "liberals" to scream blue murder and call Hasson - racist, fascist etc. Why is it that when a person states things as they are it causes an uproar/ Do people prefer to live on illusion, and are mad at someone who wakes them up from their suicidal slumbers?
2. He's right about Shalit .U see they tried MORE kidnap
Alan ,   SA   (04.26.07)
the past few days because they see it is a profitable business. Olmert&his cronies think that pandering to Pals will help . Once you missed a open goal in Lebanon you were lost . Even Israeli Arabs lost their respect for Israel . Israel will have to pay a very high price for that loss of respect by Israel Arabs . They think its another small push and the house will fall down . They are also making fireworks now when IL suffers some reverse, just like the other Pals .
3. look at india you will see the same situation

// “A few years ago, the Balad movement was comprised of 200 intellectuals. Today it has three Knesset members and an open relationship with Hizbullah and Syria while we are in a war situation. This is unheard of.” // This is seen now every where, where political correctness, and commies thrive. look at india. you will get to know the same situation. members of parliament cooperate with enemy nations to destroy the nation from with in and are cushioned by politically correct intellectuals.
4. Hassan is right
Allen ,   USA   (04.26.07)
This government is horrible. We will wait until we are once again attacked from the north and from the south. Syria and Iran might join in. Next time the consequences will be worse. Why did Israelis vote for these terrible leaders?
5. ISRAEL HASSON IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT . ISRAELI ARABS WANT WAR

6. SURPRISED!
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (04.26.07)
At Ynet for publishing this kind of opinion. At the same time Ynet forgot to publish a incident that happend on indepence day near meggido to a group of jewish families, off all places from Haifa. While picknicking there they were surrounded by israeli arabs waving plo flags and got into some physical altercations. When some peolpe called the police, there was no rsponse to protect them. I write this to underscore a overall apathy and lack off information provided to the jewish citizens off tis country. But then again the overall agenda from the media and the leaders off this state is to forget who we are and what our true connection is to this land. No we can sit back and wait for the replys from our humanist enlightend free thinking co citizens to call him a facist or worse. Meanwhile Ynet does deserve a compliment for publishing a different opinoin for a change.

10. Hasson/Liberman
Allan Leibler ,   Jerusalem   (04.26.07)
I agree with Hasson's reasoning, but perhaps he really wants to be appointed Assistant Minister for Strategic Affairs. Then he can sit back and do nothing like his party boss Avigdor Liberman, who takes taxpayers money from Olmert in return for supporting his "stinking" government. Hasson has no reason to complain in public; he should clean up his own party and take it back into the opposition.
11. It is very simple
Avi ,   Israel   (04.26.07)
I hope we have a second war of independence over Israel only this time we will finish it when we are ready, there will be no despute over the our borders and there will not be "refugees" asking for a "right of return" If war is what they want, war is what they'll get naf said
12. About Time
Gillian ,   Ashkelon   (04.26.07)
I am sick to death of p.c. and all that comes with it. About time someone said it how it is. These people support terrorist groups and then cry when they are called traitors. I say enough is enough.
13. I agree with Hassan.
Major ,   FL, USA   (04.26.07)
Take out the leaders of terror organizations and aggressor states and, before long, they will all get the message not to mess with Israel! I wish the U.S. would do the same!
14. “Under the auspices of democracy"?
Tom ,   USA   (04.26.07)
"Israel’s Arabs who are not willing to accept the fact the country is a Jewish one." There is no such thing as a Jewish Democracy. You can either be one or the other. Making a minority swear a loyalty oath to an ethnic group within their country, instead of the actual country is not democracy. You can have a democratic country with one large ethic base, but you can't call it a democracy if the laws set one group above all others. Israel's "democracy" is a dhimmi status. And that hardly makes it the only "democracy" in the Middle East.

Spinner ,   World   (04.26.07)
How can you say "we will wait until we are once again attacked from the north and from the south".... What Canada and Mexico are going to attack the USA???? You then go on to blame Israelis... "Why did Israelis vote for these terrible leaders?" What you don't want to be a part of that decision? Find your line and don't cross it...oh but wait...it's easier to blame then it is to take responsibility!!!! Just like an American... or are you Israeli?
16. IB must stop propping up the Olmert junta !
redmike ,   tel aviv - Israel   (04.26.07)
I voted for Israel Beitunu but will not do so again if it continues to prop up the totally corrupt Olmert Junta. This time next week we want actions and not words. Labor and others must also cease support. Contact the parties now and say 'if you support Olmert you will not get my vote next time round!". Stop being reactive and be pro-active - Mike

I will be in Israel soon enough. I fully intend to immigrate. How about you? Are you a Jew? No I don't want to be a part of that decision to vote for bad leaders. I have found my line and I will not cross it. At present, I live in the U.S. and am a thirty six year registered Republican; a politically conservative Jew and former party activist. I will not vote for a Republican at the national level in 2008 --- perhaps not at the local level --- so long as my party's national 2004 platform calls for establishing a Palestinian terrorist state in the Holy Land and for the ethnic cleansing of Jews, per George W. Bush's wishes in order to appease Israel's enemies. I've following the elections and the reasoning on the right in Israel closely. I saw and read people on the right telling others to vote for Sharon in 2003 --- and for Bush in 2004 --- even though Sharon declared a Palestinian-killer state was "enevitable" (because, the reasoning went, Mitzna was worse).and Bush set his face toward dividing the Holy Land; parceling it out to Israel's sworn enemies. Bush is no friend. So instead of voting for a principled small party on the right --- Michael Kleiner or someone principled --- we are voting for the "lessor of the evils" on the left. This is what gives us an Ehud Olmert and and Ariel Sharon and a Geroge W. Bush. The right compromises; we vote for evil, only the lessor of the evils, so we think. That's my point and it will be the same when I live in Israel. I will not support the lessor of the evils Spin. No more.

"MK Hasson said that in a "normal" country, Azmi Bishara would be behind bars... That says it all. Israel - a "normal country". A "normal" country does not have an ethnically divisive consititution, a "normal" country has not expropriated 92% of its land from the real owners... this incredibly simplistic term shows Hasson's utter contempt for equality and his own deep-seated bigotry. Very carefully placed underneath his text, is the intimation that Israel's indigenous population should be expelled, or that even more of them should be expelled. His pathetic clarion call obviously attracts the scum of Israeli society, viz the string of posts from the usual racist cockroaches taking Hasson's stream of drivel as some form of intellectually sound argument. The sooner the Israeli public realises that equality is the only way forward, the sooner this whole sorry mess will come to an end. However, being rather a pessimist, or should we say a realist, the stream of invective from blithering bigots on this site shows that for most big-mouths human rights is a one way street, and quality is a one-sided affair, i.e. if you're Jewish, fine, if you're an Arab, get out. What is even sadder is that these hoi polloi of ignoramuses do not even notice how much their opinions are the complete mirror image of 1930s racist ideology. Such an exact mirror image that you only need to substitute "Jew" for "Arab" and you have the whole panoply of cringingly 1930s German anti-Semitism - they shouldn't be here, they have no place, here, let them go to their own place, their culture is not ours... obviously most posters here have a zero perception of universal history and zero regard to the human rights of the non-Jewish population of historical Palestine - i.e. the majority. It happened in South Africa - and it will happen in Israel/Palestine. I look forward to seeing all the Israeli general staff on the peace and reconciliation committees, weeping mea culpa for their mass murders of Palestinian and Lebanese (and Egyptian and Jordan) citizens - and we should also mention the massacre of teh downed Libyan airliner and the bombing raids on Syria. On and on the list goes.
22. MK & possibly Israel waking up?
ilana   (04.26.07)
WOW! It almost sounds like this MK is finally awake from a long sleep along with the rest of Israel. B"H He has spoken truth. ALL Arabs in government must be out of Israeli positions of power. All are Torgan Horses. Demand Galid Shalit now or ALL Arab officials in Israel are detained and awaiting the same fate of our victims. YNet, this is pro_Israel - doubt you will print it, since you see a need to reject my postings. It certainly is tamer (and more rational) than most entries.
23. rustum #21, your comparing German Jews to Nazis fails
Allen ,   USA   (04.26.07)
German Jews were zealous German patriots by and large. They were Germans first and foremost unlike many of Israel's Muslim Arab neighbors. German Jews did not murder German women and children. German Jews did not send their children into German market places, German restaurants and buses as suicide bombers like Israel's Muslim Arab neighbors do to their children, both girls and boys. Your comparison is monstrous; shocking. Do yourself a favor. Do some reading. Read a little history and then get back to us. You are entirely uninformed.

Allen ,   USA   (04.26.07)
Israel has no formal Constitution. In Israel's Declaration of Indepence, the new state appealed: "in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions. "We extend our hand to all neighbouring states and their peoples in an offer of peace and good neighbourliness, and appeal to them to establish bonds of cooperation and mutual help with the sovereign Jewish people settled in its own land. The State of Israel is prepared to do its share in a common effort for the advancement of the entire Middle East."
27. Correction #23: I meant comparing "Jews to Nazis" fails
Allen ,   USA   (04.26.07)
28. #21 correct reading
Rustum ,   London, UK   (04.26.07)
I did not compare German Jews to Nazis. You mis-read and mis-understood. My comparison was a certain segment of the Israeli and international Zionist population who repeat Nazi-like sentiments unthinkingly. Do try reading - or would you prefer if I wrote in some dumbed-down form of English that Americans can understand without too much difficulty? Short sentences? Monosyllables? Not more than one thought in a paragraph?
