Additionally, the whole tone of the article and many of the postings trying to point out that the ads are "anti-Israel" is nonsense. In fact, bringing home to Israelis and their supporters the sixty years of terror which their beloved state has inflicted upon its neighbours and non-Jewish citizens could in fact be the best way forward for reform, and thus these ads could in the short and long-term be considered pro-Israel, as any reduction in blood-shed on any side is both pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli. Actually, the Danish cartoons served no purpose aside from an intention to offend. If the Danish cartoons had been anti-Jewish and not anti-Moslem I believe you and your cohorts would have made a lot of noise and not included the issue as a freedom of speech issue. On Salman Rushdie, I worked as a researcher and probably have read more of the Islamic jurisprudence on the background to the "Satanic verses" than most people. I'm not sure if this poster is ant-semetic, but I'm ceratin it is anti-Israel. It obviously places things very out of context and is very unfair in its portrayal of Israel's conflict with the Palestinians. I think any reasonable person would have to consider this poster inflamatory and sorely lacking in truth. That being said there is only one thing to do....Those who support Israel must simply show the other side of the conflict with its own captions. The pictures and captions will make obvious to the world that the Palestinains are murderers and jew haters and that their supporters are liars, stooges, just plain ignorant, or all of the above. My greatest concern is that there will be no response to this. Never forget that people ARE stupid enough to believe a lie if it is repeated often enough. We should be worried. We can only pray that someone with the funds to counter this will rise to the occasion.
