Being makir Tov - loshon sagi no is a despictable trait in yidishkeit if we have to show menshlichkeit to the mitzri - kei ger hayiso biartzo and to the edomi - lei achicha hoo All achas kama ukama to your brothers who support you financially and to your brothers who lay their life on the line for YOU if EY was under arab control - you would have just as much torah there as you had in 1916 - another words not much

This time I will agree with Charles because his merit of living on the land outweighs any galut response whether in yiddish, anglit or ivrit... any other subject charles and I are on opposite sides but this time his merit for living and struggling in eretz yisrael outweighs the mightest torah scholar practicing in lakeside or monsey
63. to all my brothers living in Israel
chaim ,   miami beach usa   (05.01.07)
This exercise of which language is most appropriate to be the dominant language utilized by Jew were ever they may be and the importance of actually living in Israel with all its difficulties I am in total agreement as there are many Mitzvot that are unique to Israel, I am a disciple of Hrav Kook ZL he gave out an edict (peask) that when entire families or a single boy and girls are in Israel during the Chagim it is forbidden for them to celebrate the 2nd day of what is known Yomtov Shaini Sel Gatut, as you are making a statement I have no roots or belong to Israel he equated that custom to a sever denigration of the Holiness of Israel which over rides all other rabbinical decrees. As G-D created this world and also created Humans with all their fragilities at some point created different languages it was known as Dor Hflaga. During the rule of the Sanhedrin a Person prior to even being considered to join or be included had to be proficient in all (70) languages spoken throughout the known world in addition they had to know Greek Mythology and understand the knowledge of magic, there is nor ever was any Limuday Chol if the purpose of it was to benefit Mankind. There is a psalm by King David wherein it begins with the Souls of all living things bless your Holy Name our King. Nowhere does it say in what language you must pray to G-D Loving Israel can be performed by living in Galuet as if not for outside Jews the hate shown by the world towards the Jews would be rampant without any bounds All the foregoing is to let all that read these talkbacks by concluding Gam Imo Onochi Betzara. My heart goes out for the Jews living is Israel in this time of turmoil Yhay Shalom Al Kol Yisrael

Before you go off on a tangent and begin quoting the Rambam and other sources to prove you assertion begin to spell your name appropriately it is Batzallal that is the way it is pronounced in Hebrew, then after that take any verse or chapter written by any Rabbi in Hebrew and compare that with modern Ivrit and tell me if you see any difference. Hebrew was around since time of creation and Modern Ivrit is from the onset of the Zionanistic theology so please be a little more circumspect in your addressing others you don’t know

Thank you for your support and HONESTY . Honesty is a quality i appreciate very much . Have a nice time in Yehuda Shomron . You have to know that for me Our Capital was LIBERATED about 40 years ago . I will always remember when Rav Goren blew the Shofar at the Kotel on this unforgetable day [ i heard it live in Galut where i was living ]
66.  Chaim , Chag Sheni
charles ,   petach tikva   (05.02.07)
I always knew that Jews living begalut while staying for holydays in Israel had to observe Chag Sheni . So they had a second seder for example , were they wrong , or is it because they were orthodox , not conservatives or reform ? I'll take some serious informations . As far as i know , othodox Jews always pray in Hebrew , i've never seen a siddour in another language , exept for bilingual ones , and Hagadoth shel Pesach with traductions and explanations . Those bilingual Hagadoth are usefull because there are many seculars begalut who hold on this feast . And seculars not always know Hebrew , do not understand the rules and Minhagim regarding this feast of liberation from slavery . You can accept this from seculars , not from religious people You probably don't know that there is antisemitism in countries were no Jews live , so not important if there are or not Jews in a place , antisemitism can be there .

charles ,   petach tikva   (05.02.07)
You can write a name the way you want . And Besalel is more correct than Batsallal . If you want to correct , do it properly . it is Betsalel in Hebrew , this is also the name of a famous art school and museum in Jerusalem
68. Chaim, I guess I know your answer
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (05.02.07)
Enjoy the tan. I will be in Petach Tikva with the seculars like Charles that you despise so much. (Since when does a Sheva Na or a Tzeirei produce an "ah" sound, you Golum?)

I begin to have doubts regarding your Jewish education , or you are lying by omission . First you wrote that the Parashat Hashavoua was also read in a second language , then you wrote that for Galut Jews it is forbidden to have a Chag Sheni . Both are wrong . Had you added that it's so in the reform or conservative , this had be no problem for me , but you did'nt . I toke information regarding chag sheni at a reliable source , religious relatives who receive visits from Galut family . They always have a second seder . Some ex-Israelis living now in Galut sometimes avoid this , but generally they have to do it . So please , if you write something , do it completely .
70. Besalel
charles ,   petach tikva   (05.02.07)
Please don't insult someone for his lack of knowledge , it's not his fault if he did'nt receive a serious Hebrew or Jewish education . You're welcome in Petach Tikva .
