Guy ,   Israel   (04.29.07)
I expect of you to stand up in public and be counted. A press conference in which you look the People of Israel in the eye, straight in the eye, and say to them, I made a mistake, I am unworthy of your trust, I apologize, I resign, goodbye. No more and no less, no mincing of words, no excuses. If you do this the People will in some small way forgive you and you will save your dignity, again in a small way. If you do not do this you will forever be despised by the People of Israel and I personally wish you ill.
6. Mr. Peres
Guy ,   Israel   (04.29.07)
When this Government finally gives up and goes I very much hope, for your sake, that you take the opportunity to bow out gracefully, once and for all. No more parties, no more ministries, no more public office. You have done your bit, we thank you, goodbye.
7. Israel loves its politicians more than it loves its children
Observer ,   Europe   (04.29.07)
Politicans have become Israel`s indulged spoilt children - endlessly forgiven and given second chances. Meanwhile, under their failed, corrupt, directionless, cowardly, appeasing leadership, the future security of Israel`s real children is diminishing every day. I think Israel`s (real) children are worth more than that.

14. The political tide wash away Olmert's government?
H.H.M ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.29.07)
Israel’s political culture so far has expressed dissatisfactions / failures major mistakes o n l y in the form of censoring its government, in voting it out of office, but r really never punished those who caused enormous losses of life, of the State’s standing , adhering to existing laws. The maximum fine /“punishment dished out” was the case of Arik Sharon being declared unfit to fill the Minister of Defense position. – “ Even this restriction was overcome by Sharon becoming Prime Minister.” PM Olmert’s government is facing a general lack of confidence as PM Olmert himself declared that Israel’s majority does not like his government. This statement he made in Israel’s parliament the Knesset where he still maintains a majority vote in his favor. The piece meal government coalition is basically constructed on payouts from the budget and by having been granted political influential position. - Will the public opinion expressed outside the parliament pressure Ehud Olmert to throw in the towel?
15. report
colin   (04.29.07)
Itzhaki thinks the government is strong enough to survive the reports.(winograd.)Sure this corrupt coalition is only for the politicians and not for the state of Israel. They will not even read the report--the corruption will keep them in power and to-gether.

19. The terrorists must be happy...
Canadian Dude ,   Montreal, Canada   (04.29.07)
If you want Israel destroyed and replaced with an islamic dictatorship, how could you not be pleased that these stooges are still clinging to power? The Israelis have their own Nasser, and he doesn't know when it's time to take a hike. This is the most dangerous time Israel has faced since possibly 1947. What use do you have for self-serving career politicians? These hucksters can't save you from Iran. They think it's a big game, they don't care what happens as long as they don't live long enough to see when Nasrallah installs himself as the next Prime Minister. Oh yeah and about that moron minister who lied to Ashkenazi that he can see the training exercises, when it turns out he couldn't even see through his own binoculars... Yeah, you know, the guy who looks like Joseph Stalin and whose last name rhymes with chametz. Well if he's so eager to play soldier when he has no aptitude for it whatsoever, he should gear up and go in with the reserves next time he sends them into Lebanon. Then he'll at least have some military experience to be a defence minister.
20. Shame
Yehud ,   US   (05.01.07)
Shame, shame, shame on us. We elected for ourselves a bunch of corrupt, rotten leaders and we cannot get rid of them.
