They persecute the non- muslims and jews too.I have many muslim friends who are so ashamed by the extremist Islamist. they rape their daughters and claim that it is perfectly acceptable in Islam.Their wifes even support the rape of thier own daughters.This is the reality about Twisted Islamic Extremist Ideology. Most Jews left Iraq and Kurdistan in the 40's and 50's. In Slemani, there was a neighborhood called Jewlakan. It is still called by that name even though there are not that many Jews left. Most Jews that are still living in Kurdistan (Iraq) are mixed in with the population. I don't know of any sizable Jewish communities that are still there. This family is not halachically Jewish. In fact they are completely Muslim. They were able to return under the Law of Return because one of their family is intermarried with an Israeli Jew and Israelis requested that they be allowed to immigrate. Hardly an "aliyah" of any kind.
