1. Great news!
Talula ,   Israel   (05.03.07)
Stupid people with stupid lawsuits and too much time on their hands. So! no holiday home in the Caribbean for them ! LOL!
2. What About the World Court Now?
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. USA   (05.03.07)
Israel won a small victory. But it should have represented itself at the World Court, which ultimately ruled (illegally) against the so-called fence. I wonder why the same court has not ruled on the walls in Baghdad separating Sunni-Shia, or the US wall along Mexico, or the wall in Cyprus, or all the walls elsewhere. Basically it's the same old, "We respect Holocaust dead Jews", but will not allow live Jews to defend themselves. The WC had no jurisdiction in the instant case. The plaintiffs in NY had no basis for their lawsuit. it's good they were defeated, but still a small victory for Israel.
3. #2 how can a country represent itself ...
Jonno ,   Oz   (05.03.07)
in a court it does not (nor should it) recognise.
4. Suit against Hamas
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (05.03.07)
When will Gazans bring suits against Hamas for the murders that are happening there almost on a daily basis???
5. US Court & CO.
walldizo ,   Damas   (05.03.07)
The only news coming from the US when it relates to Israel, is hypocracy and more hypocracy.Thats why US and Israel are the most hated countries in the world. Arabs have long suspended hopes for justice coming their way from the US, but such condition will never condon the murderous mentality acclaimed by Israel.Soon, the day will come when every criminal thug is held accountable for his crime.
6. whatever!!
Jeremy ,   canada   (05.03.07)
yes israel killed several bystanders and yes it was part of a targeted killing. where are these Center for Constitutional Rights hypocrites when a palestinian suicide bomber PURPOSELY blows himself up at a cafe or pesach dinner or in a line at a club. These too are targeted killings. the difference is that the targets are not militants or soldiers but rather families young and old. where is the lawsuit against hezbollah, hamas, plfp, al aqsa brigade and the list goes on and on. actually, the reason is simple.Tthese groups have no jews in them.
7. The Global Propaganda WAR Against Jews
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (05.03.07)
It is despicable the lawsuit was ever accepted into court. The widely distributed AP article deliberately omitted to state that terrorist Shehada was a mass murderer in the process of planning more mass murders - the AP article aggressively seeks to make Israel appear guilty rather than Israel attempting to defend Jews from religion-inspired mass murderers. United with Islam, government and media worldwide conduct their propaganda war against Israel - the goal is to make Israel utterly defenseless - to deny Jews the right to defend themselves. Easing checkpoints, allowing entry into inside greenline Israel - EVERY concession Israel is pressured into has the goal of killing Jews. Delighted with Gaza's transformation into a global mini terror state, the US UK EU UN actively seek a second Holocaust of Jews via a global Islamic TERROR state in Biblical Judea and Samaria. STOP this wicked plan - move to Judea and Samaria and Golan in massive numbers.
8. Israel killed American and got away with it
D ,   USA   (05.03.07)
so it sure will get away with killing Palestinians.
9. An unprovable claim
Ilan ,   Ariel   (05.03.07)
A central claim in the lawsuit was that Israel didn't take satisfactory precautions to avoid civilian deaths. That is a hard claim to prove, since 10's of Israelis were murdered at the direction of Shahada. Unless you accept that Israel should value Palestinian life higher than that of it's own citizens the cost in human life was still a bargain.
