All occupiers claim that the word "resist" stands for "terror". That's what the Russians like to call everyone who disobeys Russian law and Russian soldiers in Chechnya, that's what Ugandan President Museveni calls the rebels in Uganda. Especially after 9/11, "terror" has become such a convenient term because it immediately shuts up all discussion about whether the cause of the resistance fighters is just and why they fight in the first place. Call them terrorists and no one even has the right to talk to them (see the current debate about SA's invitation of Haniyeh).

"Resistance" is not a Palestinian euphemism for terror. It is an accurate synonym for Palestinian counterterrorism, since the Israeli army and the Israeli settlers are the terrorists. Dictionary definition: terrorizes noncombatant civilians for a political purpose. That's what the Israeli army does all day long.
