1. and....?
oferdesade ,   israel   (05.08.07)
i used to think that our politicians were corrupt & so were theirs. but we were more moral (although in my life i have had much occasion to doubt that). i then heard that morality is subjective, so maybe i was wrong on that account too. then i saw the biker on the road and i realized that- yes - we're just as bad, maybe worse (i cannot imagine such a scene anywhere else 'bli histayguyot'). so what if they outnumber us. will we be such a great loss to the world in our present condition (and please, no remarks to the tone of: it's because we've lost dvatr hashem. i'm sure several of the bypassing drivers were religious... maybe even arabs)
2. long live israel and the jewish people
UK   (05.08.07)
3. A lot of secular Jewish professionals...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (05.08.07)
...are leaving Jerusalem because they are tired of feeding the fundamentalists. And I've heard that from secular Moslems, too!
4. arab majority
A V ,   london .uk   (05.08.07)

5. you have no calim to this holy city
rashid ,   palistinian   (05.08.07)
believe me our holy book says that our prophit (pbuh) went up to heaven from this city and not the jews from poland and russia so al quds will always be muslim like the rest of the world will soon be muslim inshallah believe me
6. to #1, Oferdesade
freejay ,   Israel   (05.08.07)
What are you one about? Did you look at the video? You can clearly see 3 people coming to his aid after a couple of minutes and its obvious that people just cant stop in the middle of an intersaction and cause another accident. Israeli drivers are bad and selfish but this incident is a bad example. Stop playing in to the arab propaganda and start defending Israel like an israeli should........thats if you are even Israeli!! Ive seen alot of arabs pretending to be jews in these talkbacks so i just wonder about you.
7. didn't you have this story a few months ago?
What's wrong? running out of news?
8. Creeping genocide?
Raphael ,   Netanya   (05.08.07)
Islamic propaganda describes the Palestinians as victims of a genocide. Not very efficient genocide, indeed!
9. Jerusalem is an Arab City, Zionist Judaization Failed
Hani ,   Palestinian Vagabond   (05.08.07)
The new district to the West is the new Jewish urganization of Jerusalem. Artificial judaization, racist policy of home demolition, law of absenteeism, etc. failed to eliminate the Arab character of the city. Israelis are invited to accept reason and propose LOGICAL solutions to address reality, and that is the simple fact that Arabs and Arab Jerusalem will not go away.
10. Jerusalem - the capital of Palestine
Bilal ,   Leeds, UK   (05.08.07)
Jews have been in Jerusalem for hundreds of years, yes theres no denying that but only in the past 60 years have their numbers increased. After the 1948 war when thousands of Palestinains were killed by the zionisits Jews emigrated to Jerusalem from all around the world and every day there are new 'solutions' to solving the 'arab problem' - this is fundamentally racist and you cannot 'remove arab neighbourhoods' as Dr Maya Hoshen says. This is ethnic cleansing and is very nazi-like you cannot take what is not yours by force and you certainly cannot take Al-Quds away from the Muslims and Arabs by force or by any other means. Dont you understand? Palestinians will NEVER give up Jerusalem - it is their capital, their home, their goal. Their goal is not to wipe out Jews as many Israelis seem to beleive. As a palestinian I see no problem with living from Jews - my grandfather used to have neighbours who were Jews living in a Kibbutz. So please, quit all these threats and 'solutions' and just give Palestinains justice and stop killing them and Judaizing Jerusalem.

And you are going to come from London to do it?
Ron   (05.08.07)
14. #5 when will you people realize that
Jerusalem will NEVER be yours, not today, tomorow or ever. Your false "prophit" may no peace be upon him, has made you false promises and lies.
15. actually - 10th generation israeli
oferdesade ,   israel   (05.08.07)
also 4 years in golani as a medic. have shot my share of terrorists. did the full course of miluim and then some. pay taxes without cheating vote (to the right of the spectrum). and yes. have seen road accidents occur and stopped immediately. all in all i'm a pretty alright guy. your response is badly spelt, Irrelevant, infantile and stupid. 4 minutes can mean life or death. better a traffic jam than a dead humanoid.
16. Rashid is not an Arab - he is a Jewish IMPOSTER!
Hani ,   Palestinian Vagabond   (05.08.07)
So-called "Rashid" referred to me as if I was a lady - clearly his Arabic is lacking, if he (or she?) is ignorant about the fact that "Hani" is a male in Arab culture. Caution to everyone: Rashid is not an Arab - but an imposter! His motive is unclear, but most probably it is to brainwash all Israelis into right wing mentality.
17. #16 - so true
Bilal ,   Leeds, UK   (05.08.07)
Ye ive noticed that aswell - he sounds so fake!
18. right on mr. desade
renee pelagie ,   Montreal   (05.08.07)
do not take the freejay seriously. you'll probably find that like all militants, he was a jobnik in some rearguard unit. only those who have killed know the extent of the horror and usually try to avoid it at all costs. the beauty of jerusalem is its multiethnicity. it draws me back every year, and anyone wishing to stiffle that sins against history. meanwhile, i love you and your talkbacks. have my babies, please!
19. Arab Growth
leon ,   Grand Rapids USA   (05.08.07)
20. Dotty Fiend & "secular Jewish professionals"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.08.07)
DON'T LIKE TO MAKE JEWISH BABIES. I happen to know a lot of religious Jewish professionals who are paying taxes and MAKING BABIES. Why don't you ever whine and carry on about secular criminals and teenage delinquents, like the soccer hooligans, the rock-and-bottle-throwing fence "protesters" and the rioting Tel Aviv students? Not to mention the entire Kadima government. Your song is even more one-note than "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'"
21. Response to #13
Mustafa ,   Canada   (05.08.07)
WE will fight you for Al Quds. Inshallah we're going to win even though you got the whole world on your side, we got Allah (God) on ours.
22. Arab Majority?
Mustafa ,   Canada   (05.08.07)
It's always been that we, Arabs, are the majority in Al Quds, until you Zionists came and took our land from us. The land which we will have back someday inshallah. But until then you shall not live peacefully.
23. Jews really love stolen land eh!!!!!!!!!!
24. To All Muslims on this Talkback
Jane   (05.08.07)
Mecca is yours. Medina is yours. Jerusalem is and always has been Jewish. If you want to live on what you consider to be holy ground, freaking get out of Israel and go to Saudia (leaving behind the benefits and freedoms we Jews give you). You are greedy and you lie. You are violent even among yourselves. You desecrate the ground of Jerusalem by even walking in the city.
25. Mustafa
Jane   (05.08.07)
You do not even know what the word peace means. Salaam must mean something else.
26. #10 Jerusalem NEVER the capital of any Arab or Muslim Entity
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (05.08.07)
Always practicing Islamic taqqiya-Islamic deception! There NEVER was an Arab country of Palestine. Jerusalem was NEVER the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Jewish Bible, not once in the Koran. Muslims already HAVE an Arab Palestinian State. In 1922, Britain illegally gave 80% of Jewish Palestine to Muslims. The area became Jordan, giving Muslims an Arab Palestinian State on Jewish land. The new Arab country was ethnically/religiously cleansed of Jews. The inalienable rights of Jews to live in the Jewish ancestral homeland must not be violated! In 1948, Egypt invaded Gaza, ethnically cleansing all Jews and in 1948, Jordan invaded Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem, ethnically cleansing all Jews. Muslim Jordan destroyed 58 synagogues in Jerusalem. Arabs first started calling themselves "Palestinians" in 1967. When Israel won the Arab war of aggression in 1967, Jews returned to the areas of their ancestral homeland they had been ethnically cleansed from for 19 years. Anti-Israel PROPAGANDA calls Jews' legitimate return "occupation". Under international law, territories are considered "occupied" only when taken in an act of aggression which does not apply to Israel. Judea, Samaria and Gaza are not 'occupied territories' according to international law because they were not taken from any foreign sovereign. Jewish ownership of the land, homes and buildings stolen from the Jews in the 1948 Islamic invasion must be restored! Jews have had a continuous presence in Israel for 4000 years.
27. Yo Kyle!
A Yid ,   USA   (05.08.07)
Was that a typo - or intentional? :-) "Dotty FIEND" Her name is Friend, but with "friends" like this, who needs enemies? If it was intentional, then you got her number!
28. To Bilal
fabs ,   Luxembourg   (05.08.07)
The point is not ethnic cleansing as you say. It's just a matter of analyzing demographic fact. If Arabs gain a majority in Jerusalem, then the unity of the city will be in serious question. And just for the sake of historical accuracy, Palestinian riots killed hundreds of Jews even before 1948 including Jerusalem, to the extent that not a single Jew inhabited East Jerusalem when the Jordanian forces took over.
29. jerusalem
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (05.08.07)
Real state rockets high in this city, meaning the only people who happen to own some property of sorts in a well to medium located neighborhood not to too far from downtown-old city are north americans and europeans or their offpring and some old citizens too. Young people have no option but either to rent an appartment till eternity or leave the city. Beautiful state of the art aprt buildings are constantly built and no Israeli can afford a square metre there. They are bought by people who show up a couple of months a year to vist their grandchildren. I see no solution to this phenomena, because certainly free market dictates economy and I havent got much of a problem with that - I can only testify for the tens of friends who buy in Efrat, Adam, Maale adumin and nearby towns because Jerusalem, as much as we Jews living in Israel want to live here- simple CANNOT
30. #26 couldnt have said it better!
Jack Bauer ,   superpower#1   (05.08.07)
as for bilal and mustafa why do you choose to live in the west? because it is so far superior to your "home" lands in the desert? Where you can say what you like, act like you want, dress how you want, preach your bs how you want, etc..... plot in private how you want.... as for Israel, may you never be allowed to set foot there!
