In Japan, anyone who failed his family or people would commit hari kari--ritual suicide. That would be done to 'save face.' The honorable thing to do, for people who are clearly unqualified for their jobs, is at the very least to RESIGN immediately. Olmert, Peretz--have you no shame? The masses of people need to protest, legally but forcefully, and bring about a more competent leadership--otherwise the State of Israel may potentially be in huge trouble. Just one example: anyone with any bit of knowledge knew Sharon would not recover from his devastating stroke. I knew that and told people that. Either Olmert is lying or completely incompetent--or both! Pray to God. The people of Israel deserve better.

I believe that if Olmert and Peretz truely believe they love Israel and care about it future then they should resign before they encounter another disaster. Olmert was ok as a mayor of Jerusalem, but as a premier he is a disaster. What does it take to make him see this? His ego does not allow him to step down, but at what risk? I am so disappointed in him. Hope he can be forced to resign but I don't know the legistlations in Israel.

This one is old already. Passing the buck , finding the scapegoat...go elsewhere and leave the IDF to do what it knows.
