1. What a tragedy. Our condolences to his family
A.D. Weiss   (05.13.07)
It is sad that the Russians needed a dictatorial government to keep racism in check. Once the Soviet Union was broken up, all those rats began to crawl out of their holes. Russia today is not even safe for visitors, let alone living there as a foreigner or a Jew.

russian jews should leave as soon as possible russia. there is a growing number of racist and antissemitic attacks by neo nazis in russia and especially in st petersburg.and something very important that israel MUST do, is to expell the antisemit russians...in israel!!! i heard many times about non-jewish russians that live in israel and express phisically or orally their antisemitism!!! these parasits must be thrown out of eretz israel!

Avery bad place for any foreigners. All that is told about a seires of hate-crimes is true. It was only a a matter of time for a jew die at their hands. Police in its turn does not trust to trials by jury who failed to convict them as racist.

My daughter is one of the sherut leumi girls in St. Petersburg. She has on more than one occassion spoke of the antisemitism. As my father and her grandfather said, "There was a reason why we ran away from Russia." Maybe there is a lesson to be learned from the past.
