1. Shame on the government!
Kevin G. ,   Oregon   (05.14.07)
I think it's an excellent idea. Victims of terror should have pursued this approach a long time ago.

Kol Hakavod. This is the right move to keep Sderot and the western border in the public eye . The P.A. and the world needs to be continually reminded that this kind of action by their clans delegitimizes their professed goal for a Palestinian state. I regularly check up on news from Sderot - our hearts go out you. B'tikvah y'hiye shalom.

Earlier, DEBKAfile’s Washington sources revealed: Lt. Gen. Keith G. Dayton, US security coordinator, sought and obtained instructions from Washington forbidding Israel to launch a ground offensive or any other major military operation in Gaza. To hold the Israeli government to this directive, the Bush administration will be sending a military delegation to Israel this week, to survey the damage caused by the Palestinian missiles and draw up guidelines for dealing with them. Olmert’s assent to the US government determining what form the IDF’s response to the Palestinian missile blitz from Gaza should take has left Israel’s security and military establishments aghast and deeply troubled. They are furious at being summoned to a phony debate in the cabinet Sunday, purportedly for a hearing at long last of their plans to quell the threats building up from Gaza. DEBKAfile’s military sources report their plans are based essentially on in-and-out incursions for the pursuit of terrorists and missile-launchers, the destruction of war materiel and infrastructure, and targeted assassinations of terrorist leaders
4. Value of the lawsuit
Steve ,   USA   (05.14.07)
B"H The value of this activity is that it will carefully document all the damage and its monitary value. That is independent of Israeli enforcement. It is a tax on Sderot that is impressed by those launching the attacks. Sderot needs to understand the extent of the problem, and this is a great step to make that assessment on how much this costs.
5. To the brave citizens of Sderot
Frank ,   Canada   (05.14.07)
You should sue Olmert, Peretz and Livni as well. In some weeks, I wil come in Israel to visit my family and we will come to support you.
6. #3 Marcel - Thanks so much for this information
Tracy W   (05.14.07)
It's one thing when the US takes over a country's economy In the case of Israel they have taken over the whole administration, including the deliberate neglect of the defense of Israeli citizens. That is criminal. Yes, by all means, sue the US! Thanks Marcel for alerting us to the Debka article. Here's the link: http://www.debka.com/headline.php?hid=4189 And on the same Debka page there are two titles: one with the above article and the other one that says: "US ambassador joins EU envoys’ boycott of Knesset celebration marking 40th anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification Wednesday" It's infuriating! I wonder what's going on in the minds of the IDF right now. This should be first page news everywhere in Israel.

10. The Government are not powerless
Isabella ,   Israel   (05.14.07)
They select NOT to blanket bomb Gaza, there is a difference here. Powerless is being in Gaza when there are missiles raining down from our F-16 fighter jets. THAT is powerless. Good luck to those people. Kick ass!!

Was your dad forced out by Jews, or did he, like the majority of "refugees", pay attention to the Arab radio broadcasts that told him to leave so that the invading Arab armies could have a "free-fire zone", fully expecting to return within a few weeks and take as much loot as he could? If it was the former, he can file a claim; if it was the latter, he should sue the Arab governments who made the broadcasts and failed to keep their promises. He made a choice and took a risk-- do you complain to the casino because you lost your money?
