Absolutely right, we don't need that problem, and assimilation into the surrounding arab countries would work best, but could result in more hatred towards Israel, and increase military recruitment to these countries. Every absorbing country could have their own suicide bombing contigent not just Iran. But if they do want a state, and don't want to assimilate, I think my solution would work, as we are fairly neutral, and seen as a moral leader to the world, I wouldn't assume Israel would object, surrounding arab countries would call us occupiers, but the palis would need to stand up to them, and say, "well what have you done for us" aside from telling us it's all Israel's fault so we can hinder them and keep them busy while they plot. I think that we would be the best candidate for the job, but the palis would have to be willing. I am with you and also tired of them blaming us for everything, moving here and trying to change our country into theirs. I agree it would be hard, but at least it would give our politicians something better to discuss than Doan as captain, or Is quebec a nation, how do we stop the indians from stopping the rails while remaining politically correct. Under the right leadership my plan would work. But requires Hamas and Fatah being dismantled and exiled from the area. Just think how mad all those arab countries and militias would be if palestine become a functional, prosperous, secular, democratic nation ran by a neutral honest accountable government. makes me smile just thinking of it.

Perhaps you are correct, if the trouble makers can be removed from the equation. I was thinking that once the areas are returned to Egypt, and Jordan who have peace agreements wit Israel, they would have an incentive to keep the peace. As the responsible parties, (countries) they could be in legal and military jeopardy if they do not keep the peace which is precisely why they probably do not want the "problem" back. Your revelation about problems here at home are going to burst the bubble of our perfection as a country. Sorry for the levity, the pal. areas are a mess and I truly hope a peaceful solution can arise from all this misery. We all deserve to live in peace and dignity as we do in our wonderful country (Canada). Best, Phil

Here we go again. This is the 5th attempt to post this message in 24 hrs. Obviously, someone at YNEY despises my ideas. Oh well - hopefully today's censurer is a more reasonable person! >>Why should anyone give your government funds when all it does is buy arms to kill Israelis instead of taking care of the basic fundamental welfare of the Palestinian people?<< This is absolute nonsense. We are not asking anyone for money. We could repair the power stations bombed by Israel ourselves. If only, you would leave us alone. I’m talking airspace, borders, farmland, and for God’s sake, uproot the settlements everywhere. >>Why should anyone give you any funds at all? << If Arab and European states would like to extend the occupied Palestinian people some assistance, it is their business and theirs alone. Why should the American tax-payer finance the brutal murder of Palestinian children? >>You are taking water and electricity from a country that your government says does not exist – Interesting, how does that work then?<< The PLO as sole legal representative of the Palestinian people (and survivor of the Oslo charade) did recognize Israel on numerous occasions – not as a morally justified entity but as a reality we must deal with – for now. >>Why do you think we should be responsible for those things?<< We don’t ask for your charity. We ask you to pressure your govt. to QUIT what remains of historical Palestine. Otherwise face the bi-national state reality VERY soon. >>You have a government to go to. << No, you are mistaken. The Palestinian govt. no longer exists. It died. The American-imposed international boycott has killed it off a slow, painful death. Mahmood Abbas loves to brag about his compliance with signed agreements. We ask him to embrace reality. Oslo is dead, the agreements are null and void, since they were flawed to begin with. The whole phased approach is a dismal failure. It failed to deliver to our people what we’ve faught decades for: freedom and dignity. >>Why hasn't your government built the basic fundamental infrastructure for a country?<< Ummm..The last time I checked there is a big fat crater in the middle of Gaza Airport’s runway. It was neither Hamas nor Fatah who did that but that fatso Bulldozer Sharon may he roast in hell. The port project’s funding was ready since 1996 – but Israel has consistently torpedoed the initiative. I don’t need to go on and on, the Palestinian govt. was not allowed to turn a single stone without Israel’s approval. Those days are gone, we had rather live by a candle than be anyone’s slave. >>And lastly, Hani, you don't need to be blaming Israel for all your problems.<< Again, quit our lands and airspace, return OUR tax money, then quit bitching. You think we are ignorant about the Jordan valley settlements. Every day you continue to build more settlements in and around Jerusalem – yet your idiot of a president claims he wants peace. Only time will expose war-mongering fraudsters.
