1. Sad situation, IDF needs to respond now.
Brod ,   USA   (05.16.07)
The OPPOSITION should lead the people to hold the government responsible for stopping the IDF from defending them from these unrelenting attacks. The IDF should act to protect and defend the nation from attacks as the government is incapable of performing their duty. It is time to act before more Israelis die and thousands are terrorized to flee Sderot, the Negev and surrounding towns. This is exactly what the Islamist-Jihadists wanted to do. They are bombarding Israel with rockets before they march into Israel to conquer Israel.
2. Please, Mr. Gaydamak
Guy ,   Israel   (05.16.07)
evacuate the Government also. Damascus and Beirut will do just fine, thank you.
3. Olmert's legacy is to flee rather than fight.

Meni   (05.16.07)
= Qassams to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Somebody tell this to Tzipi Livni
6. Residents need to sit tight a while longer
(05.16.07)
I know its easy to say that, but it seems that Qassams are for Jew-baiting. They can't wait for the IDF to come back in. They cannot live without their game of bait and annoy the Jews. They have no other reason to justify themselves, and Qassams take the focus off of their violent and dysfunctional terror infrastructure.
7. surrending won't work
(05.16.07)
evacuating is surrendering. violence doesn't work. people sat tight when Saddam hurled scuds at Israel. Their temperance won over world opinion. Don't give the terrorists the satisfaction of the violent response they're looking for. sit there and wait for their pathetic violent useless terror infrastructure to implode---it won't be long now.
8. Olmert and Gang Idiots More Worried about Legacy
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (05.16.07)
Olmert and Gang Idiots More Worried about Legacy and what goodies they will get when they leave office than they are about Israeli citizens being attacked. What next Mr. Olmert and your Gang of 4 evacuation of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Who is controlling you the US or EU
9. if the g-ment will not do anything then
(05.16.07)
it is up to each citizen to take the law into their own hands.....anddo what they must to protect themselves. and if it means defensive killing then they have to do it.
10. Olmert
Dan   (05.16.07)
Olmert is the lowest of the low. Scum of the lowest order. He has abandoned not just Sderot but the whole country. History will judge him as the most disgraceful and weakest PM in Israel's history.
11. EVACUATE SDEROT'S CHILDREN NOW!
DEBRA ,   USA   (05.16.07)

mother of four ,   Israel   (05.16.07)
maybe a one-way space tourism ticket might fit the bill better and be more in keeping with their high rank and position. After all, such VIPs are used to higher standards than we mere mortal voters. Especially when agents of that mortality rain unimpeded from the sky.
15. Every people DESERVE gov.,what they ELECTED.Sorry 4 Israeli.

18. My suggestion still stands
Just a citizen ,   Israel   (05.16.07)
Maybe one or two, alone or together, of our m/billionaires can buy Sderot, and will certainly do what has to be done. Unlike the wimpy frightened hesitant people in charge of the country, who live smugly, very safely esconced and guarded in their various homes, and therefore don't need to do any thing as it doesn't affect them or their kids.
19. Disgrace
Michael Ben Raphael ,   Tel Aviv   (05.16.07)
I am so shocked that Peretz and Olmert have not resigned. Peretz you dumb fool, Your town is being bombarded and you act in a response weaker than Chamberlain. And Olmert, You decietfull, criminal, i think he should stand trial for negligence in the death of our soldiers and civillians. It would be better for a goy to govern Israel than these 2 Traitors of the people. G-d help us.
20. Olmert and Peretz are a traitors
(05.16.07)
and should be dealt as such
21. Some public help
Liza ,   Ramat Gan   (05.16.07)
Financially our family are unable to help in this awful situation, but I'm feeling tempted nevertheless to at least host 2 people from Sderot to take a break and come and stay with us for a while even though we have a small apartment but walls stretch when you need them to. The problem is not the hosting of the people but the question is, when is it safe to ever return? Two weeks of safety in Tel Aviv or Eilat does not guarantee a life-time of safety in places such as Sderot. I do know that we would not be living there at all in times like these and although it's easier said than done, life is the stronger of the choices. I just feel the need to know that maybe some of the public can ease some of the pain of some of the people at the very least. What do you think?
22. Ask the residents
(05.16.07)
I'm sure they'd agree that Mr Gydamak or/and the other prominent millionaire, should buy the whole town
23. He will regret coming here...
