It looks funny when I see these polititians taking a good look at the remains of the shattered rocket at a close inspection during their so called meet the people sessions. I wonder what is there to look at the broken pieces of qassams. After that they remark /say " NO IMMEDIATE SOLUTION " LOL. I just cant get the logic, behind such photos and their report . Is that all these polititians could do and anounce?

I happen to agree with you but what about the civilians? That could become a serious PR problem for Israel. Couldn't Israel, before it starts to retake Gaza, give a 72 hour warning to all civilian men and women and their children to get out of the area and cross into Egypt? Let Egypt know that Israel means business and that if it blocks the way of these "peaceful" Palestinians, Egypt will be responsible for whatever happens when the Israeli army re-enters Gaza? I know that the chances of the Olmert government getting tough are next to nil, but just for the sake of argument, wouldn't this make sense? Sure, the bad PR would continue relentlessly. But what's new in that regard. At least it wouldn't be as bad because lives would be saved.

You should watch the news more often. We actually pulled out of Gaza 2 years ago - or did your lying leaders not tell you that? We also left greenhouses that your people could have made good use of, built an economy as we did when we were there - but your people were so shortsighted that they destroyed everything that was there and voted in a Hamas government who lies to you (and is a puppet of the very Arab countries who have made sure that your people have had nowhere else to go for the last 60 years). They give you charity money with one hand and stab you in the back with the other. Believe me - you have far, far bigger problems than Israel. Look at what is happeneing in Gaza now - your people all killing each other. Although I guess you will find some convoluted way to try and prove that is all the fault of Israel and the West.

Olmert has rationalizations for every occasion. They are just excuses for inaction. He just is not willing to take any risks after failing miserably in Lebanon where his gov'ts incompetence was so glaringly revealed. His paralysis is a greater danger than Kassams. A complicating factor is his delusional committment to some kind of illusory peace process & support for Abbas. Until we have a gov't that faces the reality that Fatah is no better than Hamas, our security will continue to deteriorate. Empty gestures in Sderot are certainly not the solution.
