1. Ya'alon is dead right, but like Oslo and Camp David in 2000
Uzi ,   Haifa   (05.26.07)
we had to go through the bitter experience to really 'get it' ourselves and expose the Arab absurdity to the rest of the world.
2. Solution to Qassams
Solutions ,   USA   (05.26.07)
1. Take back land in Northern Gaza to create Buffer Zone large enough to put rockets out of range of Sderot; 2. Terrorists don't care about people, they care about power. Wipe them out by destroying terrorist infrastructure, weapons, rocket factories. 3. Take out Hamas leadership one by one until it finally sinks in that their supporters can no longer rule the streets with their marauding gangs of gun-wielding thugs.
3. yaalon to become the next p.m!
oded   (05.26.07)
if he decides to run for office , yaalon could make a great leader and p.m-- he has no contact with th e corrupt oligarches that infested this country, and a great coaliton between him , netanyahou , and possibly barak could be the answer and hope we are craving for! more force against the arabs, more decisivness against the 5th cullom here in israel , and immediate action against the iranians!! israel is strong , now it's time to flex muscles!

freejay ,   Israel   (05.26.07)
This is the same guy that a few months ago was saying we should give Syria the Golan....This would end up as exactly the same scenario as Gazza but this hypocrit was all for it. At the protest a few weeks ago , he and his leftie cohorts tried to take over the protest for their own publicity. He is on;y after votes for the upcomming labour elections.....what a snake.

Gaza is the result of the failed peace process .There is no peace from this bogus Road Map. It has only weakened Israel and encouraged those who seek your extermination. Stop,Stop rewarding your enemies and defeat them !!!!!!
14. Not one more inch of Israeli soil
Jerry Johnstone ,   Houston, Texas   (05.26.07)
I believe the time has come for Israel to give away another square inch of soil to these terrorist ... what has it done for Israel? Not a thing, except for more war and death for Israeli citizens. Former IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya'alon is absolutely right. You can not fight a war with the philosiphy of ... not to lose. It has never worked and never will. Has the world's opinion change with all that Israel has gave up? No, it hasn't. The time for Israel to hit these terrorist with everything in your arsenal is now. I would ask the next one who voices an negative opinion ... who is dying? They would not tolerate these rocket attacks for day, let alone daily. As Moshe Ya'alon has said, no is going to solve Israel's problems, except Israel. My prayers are with you. Jerry Johnstone Houston, Texas
15. why yaalon was fired by sharon two years ago ?
dovdevan ,   ashdod , israel   (05.26.07)
every body knows that boogy wasn't agree with the desengagement from gaza he always thought that such move would pose a strategic threat against israel and he was right ! i think that unfortunately we paid the price of the US attack on irak because they wanted something in exchange for their intervention on irak to calm down the arab street and we gave them gaza !! so every time that the US eliminate an ennemy of israel like irak we will have to pay the price ! when they will attack iran they will ask us something in exchange like the golan or the west bank !!!
16. 6 freejay-You mean Ami "skullator" Ayalon I believe
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (05.26.07)
But I also belive Bogie when he says "I would be willing to consider some sort of a territorial compromise" with genocidal mass-murderers. He would appear to hate those who love the land and those who spilled their blood to reclaim it, the land that protects all of you. He speaks well on many counts, but then makes a left turn. He might ammend that by instead of speaking compromise, appeasement, he speaks of enforcing the right of return of the genocidal, mainstream, mass-murders back to their homicidal, Hamite peninsular homeland of their own name.
17. No
john ,   nz   (05.27.07)
It's all started with the engagement of the weak, meek Olmert. When your country is surrounded by idiots, you cannot afford to display any weakness. They saw it and kept harassing Israel ever since. Now get Bibi on board and you'll see the change.
18. 15 dovdevan,Ashdod
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.27.07)
""every time that the US eliminate an ennemy of israel like irak we will have to pay the price"" He has in no way eliminated your enemy. In fact he has weakened you and strengthened your enemy in Gaza. If you open your eyes and look you can see that Bush has united the Shiite of Iran and Iraq . Israel and you were decieved into trusting in a bankrupt ,dying superpower . U.S will not rescue you on Iran. Better cut the leash soon and seek Hashem alone !
19. Time has come
BI   (05.27.07)
I have watched Mr. Ya’alon’s for the last 30 years – at times from the proximity and other times from the distance. He is an individual of grand qualities – a rare find in today’s political arena. However, it is time for Mr. Ya’alon to throw his hat into the ring and begin actuating his astute observations. Sitting on the fence, simply won’t cut it, and most certainly it is not one of Mr. Ya’alon’s characteristics. It will be a blessing to the State of Israel and the rest of the civilized world – should he forgo personal inconveniences and try to constructively contribute from within. Politics requires sacrifices from those who truly care. Mr. Ya’alon that I know – has never ever taken the easy way out. BI
20. Livni's TOILET , GAZA, MUST be FLUSHED
malcolm   (05.27.07)
She got her mentor and father figure, Sharon, the votes he needed for the Gaza Surrender. Since then she has sat on her fat ass and said nothing about the massive Iranian arms buildup in Gaza under Egyptian and EU supervision. She's scared she will be implicated so she chose utter silence. Now the IDF will have to risk many lives to flush her filthy Gaza toilet. Until then Sderot is expendable as far as she's concerned.
21. Ya'alon might be right but at what cost?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (05.27.07)
How many soldiers are you prepared to sacrifice, General? This is the question that every president, prime minister and supreme commander has asked his planners in the years after wars in which troops regarded as cannon fodder. The next point to be considered is what happens after the "clean up"? We withdraw and it starts all over again? What will we have achieved? How many will have died for bringing us back to square one? An occupation will only start another insurgency and everyone knows, except George W. Bush, that an insurgency is a no win situation. You cannot subjugate a people. We have 40 years of experience at that! The only way to do this is to make the Palestinians realize that Israel is here to stay whether they like it or not and that it is time for them to start looking after their own. Just look at how these people live! Their belligerence has only brought suffering and poverty on them and their children. When are they going to wake up and see that life is worth living and becoming a martyr in Khaled Mashal's hate war is taking them deeper into the mire? How to do this, well bombing is one way, assisinations are another but thy will only increase the hatred and of course, international condemnation will start any day now. The right way is to turn off the lights and close the borders to ALL Palestinians. No more jobs in Israel and no treating their sick and wounded in our hospitals. Let them go to Egypt for that! You do NOT feed the mouth that bites!
