Some context is needed here It was only two weeks ago that members of Fatah were clashing in the streets of Gaza with members of Hamas attacking each others' jeeps, killing fellow comrades in friendly fire, and sometimes gunning down civilian Palestians in the crossfire. Negotatiated agreements for a cease-fire were proving useless as the leaders who made them couldn't hold in their fighters. Previously before this Hamas's terrorist (Military) wing hadn't been firing rockets into Sderot adhering to a temporary hudna (Islamist tactical cease-fire), only Iranian-controlled Islamic Jihad was. But with the carnage between Palestinians embarassing them and the Arab world, they chose the simplest and most cruelest way to stop internicine fighting: resume fighting the other, the Israeli Jews. Thus, they drew Israel into the conflict by terrorizing the residents of Sderot and as like any self-respecting state would, Israel has responded against Hamas. The intergroup fighting has drastically been stopped since Israel responded to Hamas' rocket fire against its civilians. Ya Achi Marzouk, you will always say its the occupation as an excuse for attack. If Israel were to withdraw from all of the 1967 acquired territories, you'd still be firing rockets or attacking Israelis in some other form, claiming this is against the occupation. This is why you will never be treated as a partner for negotiations.
7. Was wondering if you had a labotomy ?..
Allens neighbour ,   Global community   (05.28.07)
Clearly something very peculiar about your logic , and your world view - one thing that is for sure despite your dreams - you will be dissapointed - there wont be a time in your lifetime or the next that Jews will not be living in The State of Israel, whatever the borders will be. Better get used to the idea kiddo.
8. Gaza is a country at war against Israel.

California Bear ,   Berkeley, USA   (05.27.07)
Well, another member of the Islamic cheerleaders here in the states huh? As I always as your ilk, "What are the Jews occupying?" "Can you tell me, when has there been a sovereign state of Palestine?" "As a matter of fact, what the hell is a Palestinian?" Jerusalem, well according the the U.N., it was supposed to be a neutral territory administered by that body after the partition. So, if it's occupied who does Israel relinquish it to? The U.N.? Transjordan? There's never in history been a Jerusalem, Palestine so I'm wondering who you want it returned to? Oh, and the West Bank: was the West Bank occupied pre-1967 when Transjordan wouldn't let "Palestinians" administer their own affairs as a sovereign entity or did you start considereing it "occupied" when those Jews you seem to detest kicked the hell out of the Jordanians? Pick up a book an educate yourself on "Palestine", you and the other leftist nuts in this country.
10. The Big Lie
J K ,   NYC, USA   (05.27.07)
And the Big Lie continues. For anyone else brain-dead, Gaza is NOT occupied any longer. Israel has no settlements there and does not exercise and of the functions of government in Gaza, ergo, it is not occupied. Yes there is an economic embargo, but this in itself does not constitute an occupation. So the Qassams are resisting what again?
11. Israeli occupation? .... I think not!
Jerry Johnstone ,   Houston, Texas   (05.28.07)
Mr. Allen appears to support Mr. Marzouk ... that is right, however, he is wrong about Israeli occupation. This land belongs to the Jewish, the chosen people of God ... had Mr. Allen read the Bible he would know this. If anyone were to leave, it should be the Palestinians ... I am sure the is plenty of room in Syria and Iran for these terrorist ... and in a nut shell that is the reality. Israel has bent over backwards to accomadate the Palestinians, and how are they repaid? With rockets, bombings, drive by shootings, and kidnapings of Israelis. They have broken every truce ever written ... why would anyone be so niave as to believe this one? Even when Israel has given land back they should not have, they were still attacked by these terrorist. Iran and these terrorist groups have made it clear for years to decades that they want Israel wipe of the face of the map, please tell me what part of a truce would you all believe? Truce some how implies truth, their is no truth in a Palestinian truce .. hence why bother? For anyone on this planet to think that there will ever be any kind of reconciliation with these Palestinian factions, Syria, or Iran ... need to wake up to the reality it will never happen. They have tried for almost 60 years, has any of them; truces or treaties held yet .... no they haven't. Mr. Allen does not have a clue of the history in this part of the world, or the geo-politics. God Bless Israel, Jerry Johnstone Houston, Texas
12. You took our land and...
Micha   (05.28.07)
now you are trying to defend against us taking it back. You are no different than the white invaders in South Africa. Apartheid exists and the arabs are the perpetrators. You will be defeated in a bloody war.
13. Moussa Abu Marzouk. They are all as bad as each other.
Sammy ,   Newcastle, UK   (05.28.07)
Another worm thats come out of the woodwork. HAMAS. You are clapped out, a dead loss and a complete failure. Am I right in thinking HAMAS were elected to restore order, end corruption, improve social services and education, promote stability and unity? FAILED, FAILED, FAILED on all counts. They havent a CLUE how to run a country and DONT CARE. And everytime they feel the heat of Palestinian dissapointment and anger - marches, strikes etc what happens. Oh SO PREDICTABLY just start some more Kassam attacks to invite more Israeli retaliation so MORE innocent Palestinians get killed. So who is responsible for murdering innocent Palestinians? Hamas have has their chances AND BLOWN IT. ITS TIME brothers and sisters WE BOOTED THEM OUT. And heres the rub. HAMAS loved the idea of democracy when elected to power and now they REJECT IT as a tool of Western Imperialism. SO NOW THEY REFUTE elections. They deny us the right to EJECT these morons from power. WE WANT ELECTIONS NOW. Let the Palestinians give their verdict on HAMAS in a fare and free election NOW....OR ELSE.... And brothers and sisters. There is a far better way than HAMAS. You will be amazed at the possibilities of acheiving Statehood. There are so many ways to Statehood NOW if we really desire it. But it requires INTELLIGENCE, COURAGE and IMAGINATION. Something that is entirely beyond HAMAS. HAMAS This is the voice of the Palestinian people. YOUR DAYS ARE TRULY NUMBERED. That way can achieve so much more than the way of HAMAS. Lets consign them and their paymasters in Iran to the dustbin of history.
14. Hamas actually deepening troubles
Steve ,   USA   (05.28.07)
B"H The Israeli narriatve would be hard-pressed were it not for Hamas to attack, justifying the Israeli retaliation in the eyes of the Jews. How bad is peacefully living in some houses compared to a rocket onslaught on Sderot inside the green line? Hamas really has moved Israeli public right like no politician could. Right wing does not want to negotiate, but left wing does and gets elected? No problem. With Hamas in Gaza the right-wing position sticks. There is no negotiation. Hamas says that the government of Israel would have to change and that the entire land would have to come under one rule. The right wing does not get elected, but is this not a right-wing position set in a different shade? Were it not for Hamas, Israel might be considering vastly different policy. But Hamas's building of violence has played into Israel's favor like no group could. Israel is really hesitant to eliminate Hamas because of the benefits the state receives from the group. One day, the State of Israel is going to have to wise up. For now, the question is which Labor lefty is slated to bring down the Olmert government at the booth. Hamas is bringing the right-wing to power like no other political organization in Israel could (except Labor).
15. Hamas - the indiscriminate killers
txbobsplace ,   Boonies, Texas USA   (05.28.07)
It isobvious there is no reasoning with Hamas. Centuries of in-breeding have produced arab killers who can't think or reason logically. They just scream and fire their AK47s killing all in their path ....no matter whether it is childred, women or innocents. Israel has but one choice.....kill'em all....let God sort it out......It is sad but necessary. Wipe Hamas off the face of the earth..
16. #6 you see it very clearly! Too bad Pals can't!
(05.28.07)
To stop the Pal infighting, they lobed rockets at Israel. Hamas wanted all Pals to focus their hate on Israel. Now that the infighting has stopped, they want a truce. Hamas will never be a partner in peace. What is totally weird about all this is we now consider Fatah a "moderate"! They are the PLO!!
17. The only reliable truce option
Joel K ,   SD, CA   (05.28.07)
The only reliable truce option with the IslamoNazis is that which is consumated over his or her grave. Anything less, means the "peace" of the grave for Israeli Jews and others around the world.
18. California Bear
Eli ,   USA   (05.28.07)
I think Allen was being facetious. Ynet censored his post but he wasn't being serious. Having lived in Berkeley for a few years I can understand your sensitivity to such talk - believe me, I know how bad it can get there, but I'm almost sure he was just venting his frustration that the rest of the world doesn't seem to realize, or care about, Hamas' true agenda.
19. Resistance for Resistance Sake
ron ,   manitoba, canada   (05.28.07)
Qassam rockets, motars, suicide attacks, shooting attacks, stabbing attacks, bombings, assaults and all other terrorist attacks have not brought Palestinians any closer to a sovereign state than in 1947. The sad part is that Hamas and Fatah know that terror has only harmed their cause. Hamas does not believe that it is possible to make peace with Israel which would result in acknowledging the loss of holy Islamic land. In the eyes of Hamas (and Fatah to a great extent), it is better to resist Israelis, the Jews and all of their allies, instead of seeking peace by peaceful means. Peace would be a surrender of holy Islamic land. Resistance is a goal in itself. It makes no difference what methods are used or what damage is done to the Palestinian cause. It is more important to murder Israelis and Jews than to prosper and live in peace. Hamas would rather see all of Gaza destroyed than to negotiate a peace (not a hudna) agreement with the dhimma. For Hamas and Islam the world is divided into two worlds, Dar al Islam (the house of the true believers) and Dar al Harb (the house of war - those who should be put to the sword. ) The Koran is full of anti-jewish references, such as "'Wretchedness and basesness were stamped upon the children of the Jews". The rallying cry of the Arabs in 1948 was "the Brits to the sea, the Jews to the Grave". Peace was not an option. In 1967 Egypt and Syria threatened Israel with extermination. Syrian radio claimed that once the war was over few Jews would be left living. Hamas' charter continues the Islamic quest for the extermination of the Israeli nation. It literally calls for the deaths of all Jews. Not one Jew is to be left living. Could Hamas change? Sure they could, but it is not likely while they are motivated by Islamic religious hatred of Israel, Jews and all peoples who are not Islamic. Change can be forced upon Hamas and Fatah by other arab states such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia. In the meantime Israel will have to defend itself against arab and Palestinian aggression.
20. Hamas hypocrisy
Korem ,   New York, USA   (05.28.07)
It is clear that Hamas wants to get Israel into gaza. They practically boasted how 'ready" they are for an Israeli invasion of Gaza, showing their women posing in bomber outfits. Now they say Qassams are only a tool against the occupaton? Even though without using Qassams Israel was at truce with Gaza and had there been no Qassams in the first place Israel might have pulled out of the West Bank by now? Hypocrites or idiots I cannot tell which.
21. Hamas=soup
foreigner   (05.28.07)
Imagine the Jewish Nation-ISRAEL,just as bad as Hamas and leaders and people all over the world pretend they are?!?And what occupation do this moron talk about ?The leader of the political wing of Hamas,he is.A powerful politician who can't control what the military wing does. They say so when they need to.Imagine Olmert doing the same .
22. Reality in PA

23. "occupation" means "existance"

24. Enactment of the Egyptian Jordanian Solution
Joseph Kaufman ,   Sunnyvale/Jerusalem   (05.28.07)
So now we see the Egyptians trying to exert their influence in Gaza, and soon I suspect we'll see the Jordians exerting their influence in the West Bank, eh? As if that will solve the problem. Hatred is Sacred in Islamofascism. It is so fundamental to their control, that it will never be yielded. There is no compromise with those who send in others to kill themselves for the sole purpose of creating terror. Or kidnap innocent people and behead them. Have you forgotten what we are dealing with here?
25. Guess no-one told them we are out of Gaza
