Ziv, I don't know if this qualifies as an answer to your question but the US has taken in babies and provided medical services for Iraqi children. I think others too but am unable to cite an example. However, this does not diminish the humanitarian efforts of Israel in helping this child during a time period where humanitarian efforts must be very difficult. I would also like to comment that the Jewish Organizations in the US are equally to be respected for all they do to help others regardless of their religion. I work in social services and know first hand what these organizations do for others. Jewish people in the US and Israel have a lot to be proud of. It is a little disappointing to hear others say why doesn't someone elseor some other country do it or cite the hatred of today as a reason to not help a child. Accept the fact that something kind and generous was done from the heart and be grateful these feelings still exist, they are what makes us human.
