Is that all that barak wants WAR Does barak think that Israel must always be at war? What about health, progress, sport ,finance etc.And that he still wants us to vote for him after the lebenon fiasco that he ran with his tail between his legs. What about his businesses? No thanks --I want a peaceful man who has security as one of his objects amongst being a honest truthful leader.BARAK YOU ARE NOT HIM
3. barak IS AT HIS BEST WHEN IN A DRESS
Johan Starling ,   Pleasentville, USA   (05.28.07)
4. Barak ; Retreat South to Uganda
marcel ,   florida   (05.28.07)
Barak revealed his true direction when he was in power . A retreat and surrender prim minister who has only one direction. Reverse.
5. Yea Right just like he did in lebanon
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (05.28.07)
And let is not forget the great Clinton Plan which he agreed to give up everything. He still wants to make more money.
6. #4 others have done better, you are right
Dave ,   Washington DC   (05.28.07)
if his direction was retreat and surrender, then tell me what the others did, at least he saved your ass by withdrawing from Lebanon which saved around 150 Israeli occupying soldier lives a year- more than 1000 in the last seven years, Sharon, the brave man reoccupied west bank and more than 2000 Israeli lives were lost to make you and your fanatics friends happy..
7. baraks
george ,   canada   (05.28.07)
Remember the 2 Jewish soldiers who got lynched alive in ramallah. Instead of mass bombing Ramallaha, this moron did almost nothing and did not stand up for Jewsih live. Yes, he is a good commando, but he was a lousy chief of staff and defense minister. Forget about him. Bring in Moshe Yaalon.
8. Barak's Leadership
Rick S. ,   L.A.   (05.28.07)
We all saw how he brought the troops back from Lebanon with his tail tucked between his legs. His days of true leadership are over.
9. Is that not "Barak: I'd lead Israel best to war?"
Steve ,   USA   (05.28.07)
B"H Barak got Israel into the mess in Lebanon here by not patrolling it. Now he wants to talk about the next war where I guess he shoots a few empty buildings. There is no harm in shooting empty buildings, but I am not seeing how that helps the Jewish citizenry very much. I think Barak is scary in a very special way. I would rather not see him in office. And if Natanyahu is going to run against Barak, I am thinking that would better position Natanyahu's candidacy.
10. Barak--Just remember Oslo, arafat, clinton. No homeland.

And by withdrawing from Lebanon, hizbullah took over the lebanese government to where it is almost a non-functioning gov't. It has let assad from syria and the monkey from iran infiltrate and reek havoc in the city. IE: al-qaeda fighting in there today. Oh yeah, and don't forget how he and clinton, and the terrorist arafat almost sealed the deal to give Jerusalem to the pals. If elected, Israel can expect more of the same. I believe that clinton himself is behind the push for barak in case hillary gets in, bill will have another shot at making a name for himself again, I have a name for bill, but it's not lady like to say it in public. That same name also applies to barak.

Again !
13. This man should be out of ministry
Arthur ,   Israel   (05.28.07)
" ...... Peretz said, referring to his pledge to raise the minimum wage and to roll back public spending cuts. " Whoever is elected, this man is not fit for anything. He promised social reform last time and did nothing in his tenure. Only social raise he did is increased his own salary! Leaving public to swallow the air!
14. Ehud Borat is the best !!!!
malcolm   (05.28.07)
15. Lead is in war?
Y ,   Israel   (05.28.07)
Wasn't Barak the prime minister who let an Israeli soldier bleed to death in Shechem rather than confront "palestinian" fighters during the 2000 intafada?
16. Labour's Demise.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (05.28.07)
If a picture is worth a 1000 words, the photo of all the Labour candidates says it all. What a pathetic line-up of losers. Re-cycling garbage may be good for the envirnment, but in a political party, it's not such a good strategy. The Labour primary is hardly news worthy - it's only point of interest is for another bunch of lousy politicians in Kadima who need Labour as a coalition partner. But elections can't be put off forever & Labour will be the biggest loser.
17. This Looser shouldn't be in Politics.
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (05.28.07)
What is it with the Labor party? Peres the dinosaur, Mitzna the naive idiot bumbling onto the political stage, Peretz of Union fame - rabble rouser and trouble maker and now Barak again? Mind you, the Likud bringing Bibi back isn't much better, his performance as PM was at best lamentable. But Labor really takes the cake when it comes to picking the sure loosers.
18. Israeli Politics
Bernard ,   Jerusalem, israel   (05.28.07)
One of the characteristics of israeli politics that facinates me is the fact that our politicians 'neve' retire! and that we as the public seem to have a rather short memory? It wasn't too long ago that both Barak and Netanyahu challenged each other in an election?. Both were prime Ministers and both failed to complete their respectives periods of governments?. Why on earth would we want either of them to be furure Prime Ministers? Isn't it high time for us the Israeli public to say enough is enough with corrupt public figues and expect some honest, serious, qualified and respectful potential leaders who do what the preach? Think about it 'only in Israel do past Prime Ministers and past Ministers go on and on and on...whereas in the civilized democratic world ex leaders retire, move on and remain pretty much out of the public spot light? What do you think readers??????????
19. Barak did nothing when the 2 Israelis were lynched in 2000
Ken Jurist   (05.28.07)
Barak did nothing when the 2 Israelis were lynched in 2000. He went to Taba, even though Egypt refused to display the Israeli flag. He was begging Arafat to accept Jerusalem from him. Barak is a disaster for Israel. He's another idiot who was bombing empty buildings. Remember he would call up Arafat and warn him where Israel would strike. I pray this fool dont win. Remember at Taba, he had Beilin, Ami and Sarid trying to give away Israel. This guy will have Meretz as his top policy makers. The who's who of the Israeli left will make up his goverment. They'll give away everything, including Jerusalem, Golan etc
20. today we drive two losers out of politics: barak and peretz
aaron ,   ra'anana   (05.28.07)
Ami Ayalon is no better, and he would sell our country cheap to our enemies... but hopefully in the general elections he will not get many mandates.
21. What a people
(05.28.07)
Normaly the winner should be the one who say i leade best in peace but because peace is word you don't have it in your language and the wars is your hobby so he say this .
22. War
Michael ,   Haifa   (05.28.07)
I have little doubt that Ehud Barak would lead us straight into the next war
23. Is he...
Khaled ,   Lebanon   (05.28.07)
... the best to lead Israel in war, or the best to lead it INTO war.
24. Ehud is too far up his own butt to lead this country.
Talula ,   Israel   (05.28.07)
25. What is Barak not saying?
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (05.28.07)
That he isn't worth a s--t as a leader, if there is no war???
26. Sometimes, no comment is necessary
Eliyahu   (05.28.07)
This guy has no shame. He says the most blatantly ridiculous things. His first million he made by selling out Israel. He can make his second million in comedy.
27. Unfortunate choice of words.
Marcell ,   Israel   (05.28.07)
28. Retread
Dan Friedman ,   NYC USA   (05.28.07)
The fact that this clown's name is going around as a possible PM is more than just a bad joke. It shows that the Israeli political system is just a game of musical chairs. The players are all the same and just rotate after each debacle. Now it's Barak and Bibi's turn again. But more importantly, it also shows that Israel's hopelessly lazy and complacent people can be counted on to be led around like bleeting sheep. They have only themselves to blame for the stone wall they've been led into.
29. You would?
Micha   (05.28.07)
You were prepared to give away all the land that our brothers have fought over. And you roll over just like that? No wonder the arabs love you. You creep.
30. Best to lead my *****
Ali ,   Lebanon   (05.29.07)
