2. Yeah for gay Jerusalem!
Lucy   (05.29.07)
3. Shameful politicians
Tal ,   Brussels   (05.29.07)
Although I am not gay myself, I have total respect for those who choose to be. For an Israeli politician to call being gay a quote normative defect is disgusting and shameful. Don't forget that Hitler believed that Jews too has but only a normative defect and what happened, we togther with the gypsies, gays and all other defectuous people were brought to the slaughter house. How disgusting can public comments in Israel get, and worse, to publish them to the world! Shame on you all
4. Intolerannt Hateful Hypocrites
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (05.29.07)
These politicians should be arrested for spreading hate. The leader of the Shas Party recently rteferred to gay people as "beasts."
5. #3 Who breeds the morons like you?
Wake up ,   USA   (05.29.07)
You should know that Israel every politician barks without a reason or with a reason. That is the nature of politics whether it is Israel, US or some trashy, hateful European entity.
6. horrible.. just horrible.

7. Shas! Bring down the govt!
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (05.29.07)
8. Disgusting. No wonder Israel has major problems.
avraham ,   new york   (05.29.07)
How shameful. In pursuit of any buck the tourist industry can make, they trample Jerusalem's holiness. Sad to admit, but no Arab administration of Jerusalem would have ever stooped so low (even though this is not something I'd want) morally. Very, very sad.
9. 'gay' cities
peter ,   amsterdam NL   (05.29.07)
Quote article:"... Yishai said, "Jerusalem and Amsterdam are the same for these people." The promotional photos are not improper persé, the statement by Shlomo Rosenstein is provocative. Quote: "The Jerusalem municipality and the haredi coalition are doing their utmost to maintain the peaceful atmosphere in town...Provocations will do no nothing for Jerusalem but undermine the status-quo and coexistence within the fragile fabric of life and relations between the different sectors in Jerusalem." The monopoly claim of the orthodox on Yerushalayim dictates that everybody else has to stay away or maintain a very low profile to keep the peace? This gives the idea that Jerushalayim is 'owned' by the religious sector which lays down the rules. You lock yourself in a niche that way which any city promotor would say is unwise. Different 'sectors' can co-exist side by side peacefully if everyone gives eachother some room and coöperates for the common good. Then you get a lively city as Amsterdam shows-its much more than a place for gay tourists(one street in the centre has gay bars, that's all) there is art, history, culture, entertainment, restaurants, trips to the surroundings etc. A place that welcomes visitors-as Yerushalyim should be too.
10. this crosses the pink line!!!
izzy d   (05.29.07)
A gay jerusalem. wow!!!! What i find funny (ok not funny but extremly sad, pathetic and defective) is that not one of the three religions that belove Jerusalem to be their holy place supports gayness in any form and truly thinks that a practitioners is going to hell.
11. ARE THESE ALSO ABOUT OLMERTTTTTTTT ???

14. homosexual radical aims
Erin Corrigan ,   Des Moines, IA USA   (05.29.07)
Israel, and particularly, Jerusalem, "the center of G_d's universe", is not the place for homosexual radical aims. Let the homosexuals party and push their agenda somewhere else, other than Israel and Jerusalem.

20. Pink Jerusalem
Michael ,   New Zealand   (05.30.07)
This is what is happening all over the world why should you be any different? It's not as if you have any so called mandate on values or morality than other countries. In the main they have turned their backs on g-d and so have you as a nation. Do you honestly Love G-d with all your mind, soul and body. Look at who you elect, do they? "If my people who are called by my name" applies here as it does elsewhere in the world MikeNZ
21. Tourism ministry promoting "gay" tourism
Ted ,   Denver USA   (05.30.07)
It is good for those who have spoken out against this abomination of promoting tourism by homosexual couples. As the Word says in Jeremiah 23, those who make Jerusalem as Sodom and Gomorrah will be made to eat wormwood and drink poisonous water. How can those who have promoted this idea be exempt, and how will they answer when the Creator calls them to account? Praised be the day when all this evil shall have become a thing of the past, and this world becomes a truly BLEST place to live!
22. Gay Jerusalem
J&E Silk ,   Tamarac, USA   (05.30.07)
"I'm surprised that the Tourism Ministry and the person heading it chose to destroy, rather than build. This campaign is disgusting and will drive tourists away from Jerusalem and Israel." Don't worry about driving tourists away. Just worry about driving God away!
23. Clueless campaign-insulting to gays, too
jw ,   ny   (05.30.07)
Gays are among the most sophisticated travelers in the world & don't travel all the way to Jerusalem just to sit tandem on a camel . Israel should stop trying to be like everyone else & promote its own uniqeness. Jerusalem is distinct as a beautiful capital of major religions of the world , w/ antinquities from the Temple period being discovered daily...promote that.
24. Invitation to Judgement
Floy ,   USA   (05.30.07)
Abomination to the Holy One of Israel. Major slap in His Holy Face. And, In His Holy City. How sad. How unwise. How utterly, utterly stupid.
25. #15-How dare you put down gay men!
Eliyahu   (05.30.07)

27. homo-tourism
stavros ,   honolulu usa   (05.30.07)
God's chosen land and people...this will shame the country that the world has its eyes upon...Shame! Idiots! You are under a microscope and this type of 'infection' will help cancel ALL of your so-called 'rights to exist.'
28. Sodomites
Ely ,   USA   (05.30.07)
LEVITICUS20:13
29. Oh my gosh...
Benjamin ,   Straightsville, USA   (05.30.07)
Well, if this is what Israel is becoming, then the US needs to consider whether or not it's really worth saving if it's attacked by the Arabs...
30. There is a difference b/w exercising your right to be gay...
Leo ,   Melbourne   (05.30.07)
& having the so called "right" to flaunt your sexuality and enforce your views on the rest of the population. Any flaunting of sexuality - be it gay or straight - is not acceptable full stop. And you don't necessarly have to be religious to believe this. Any barbarian with no self respect would think otherwise. And using the Holy city of Jerusalem as a means to flaunt sexuality, crosses all red lines. And its usually leftist hypocrites -sensitive to offending muslim religious sensbilities - who are the very first to offend and trample on Jewish religious sensbilities.
