solar and electric powered cars rock.
i was just riding in a Toyota Prius last weekend, down in Southern Israel, and the car rocks. very comfy. very smooth ride. plenty of leg room in front and in the back passenger seats.
and the amount of gas to drive from Tel Aviv to Eilat? 1/4 of a tank!
a cooperation project between Israel, Jordan, Toyota (Japan) and Renault (France) would be a very good peaceful, profitable, industrial, capitalist project.

The proper attitude for Israel, a country embattled by oil money, should be : Israel is running 10 years late on the road to oil independency and MUST SUCCESSFULLY move its arse to become the first country running without petroleum.

Wow 2 great car ideas, this one and the AIRcar from india. AirCar is a better idea though to refill it with compressed air you could just hook it up to the Knesset, plenty of HOT compressed air there. It just is not free as they are all overpaid anyhow.
