No Israeli government can make a deal with Hamas and Abbas ultimately wants to destroy Israel too. Only a very strong Israel might perhaps cause these groups to decide that there is no choice but to come to some kind of 'deal' and even that is very unlikely to happen. Israel needs to forget about deals and peace for the foreseeable future at return to total invincibility. Out present conduct only encourages attacks because it suggests that we can be beaten.
