Now that the world beloved palis in northern hezbolland are being attacked by the libbie toy soldiers... how long will this rather bizarre episode go on before israel sends in its troops to quell that conflict? and is this idf chief at all keeping an eye on that situation? and why is newsnet not informing us more closely on that situation?

dgfields ,   glasgow   (06.05.07)
Israel must not wait for the siuation to gain momentum, and must pre-empt an attack on our northern neighbours. We must act now to show the Arb world that we will not tollerate or live with any threats and a massing of forces on the Syrian side of our Golan! Olmert you must act NOW!!

A member of the Syrian parliament, Muhammad Habash, confirmed on Tuesday that his country was actively preparing for war with Israel, expected to break out in the summer, Israel Radio reported. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Habash said it was no secret that the Syrian military was arming itself for the upcoming confrontation with the IDF.
10. Good that you trust them Gabi
Talula ,   Israel   (06.05.07)
As a mother of two boys, both in fighting units, I can't say that I trust YOU or the army to put my boys or any other mother's boys first and do everything humanly possible to keep them safe.

Josh ,   Jerusalem   (06.05.07)
Hey Bruce, why don't you come here to Israel and help defend Israel? Otherwise keep your mouth shut. We don't need any comments from Diaspora Jews while it is our loved ones ... and us, doing the fighting and dying. Just shut your pie hole while you are at it. You talk a big game but can you back it up? Why don't you make aliyah?
12. Peretz Uses His Famous Binoculars.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.05.07)
That's how he knows - When asked about Syria's intentions he said " I can't see a thing, everything must be fine".

14. FAULTY INTELLIGENCE
Marcel ,   Florida   (06.05.07)
This is the same IDF which allows the political nuts to supply weapons to Fatah. I think Israel has lost it's intelligence. and relies on blind nuts and idiots to know what Syria is planning . Better get your head out of the nutbag soon and open your eyes.
15. conflicting reports+ a question
Richard-Goj ,   Amsterdam Hollland   (06.05.07)
Yesterday rumours had it that Syria was preparing a military confrontation. "The IDF is preparing for an escalation on the Palestinian front and the northern front," Would that mean Hizbullah,( Lebanon) or Syria? Anyone ?
16. Peretz should be HOGTIED and hauled out of the Knesset

17. cann't you count beyond two
observer   (06.05.07)
Israel has droped a revived Arab peace treaty. But , Arabs are still having an effective joint defense treaty signed in 1950. The Conditions uppon which signing was built in the Israeli-Egyptian and the Israeli-Jordanian treaty stated that the new treaty does not null any other treaty of each of the three countries with other countries or powers. You should not count on what Israeli leaders say, but you can only count at least 3 more fronts !
18. why only emphasizing the war side ?
observer   (06.05.07)
The Israeli Security Cabinet is to hold a meeting today. Rafi Eitan (the smelly), leader of the pensioners' party & member of the security cabinet, said: If Syria wants peace, Syria has to set a price for Golan. An Israel TV channel said: more than one channel of communication has been installed for talk between Israel and Syria. So why then talk war overwhelms talk peace ?

21. Syria 's preparations
Richard-Goj ,   Amsterdam Hollland   (06.05.07)
"Syria is making very real preparations, cleaning army posts, conducting large drills and strengthening defenses. They are reaching a state of readiness for war more than in the past, but this doesn't mean they'll be ready for war tomorrow. The Syrians have a very large quantity of long-range missiles. They do not need to move forces around to attack with these missilesWithin the IDF, movement of Syrian forces towards the Golan Heights border is considered a preliminary sign for potential escalation and allows the army time to prepare - usually 48 hours. Over the past few months the Syrian army raised its level of alert, thus effectively eroding most of the preliminary signs. Together with the long-range missiles mentioned by Yadlin, the implications of the latest developments are that Syria can potentially catch Israel by surprise Jun. 5, 2007 17:19 JPost So my question is answered

According to my grandma and her "sources" there'll be a war. Can somebody call Assad and ask him not to ruin my summer? Thanx... :o)
