once again an article is published on ynet, where the reader is presented with one side of the story attempting to cultivate the readers rage. If we have been presented with all the facts i would tend to think that there is a bigger story here. After all the shin bet is wasting all this time and effort on an innocent youngster instead of perusing their real job which is protecting the state and its citizens. so perhaps they had a reason for their actions (if true) and a 17 year old is as capable of being a terror threat and a danger to the public. even the venerated and tortured john mcain agrees that a scenario which involves a ticking bomb should also include the use of torture.

Maybey you boys forgot,but we are at war here. Maybey less caffee lattes and designer drugs might clear the head for some real journalism,instead of all this yafut nefesh reporting. before the net was a household commmodity, a young resident of Jerusalem was kidnapped by a gang of Palestinians. They tortured him, carved allahu akbar on his back with their knives and then stabbed him to death. The young man was slightly retarded, not an IDF soldier, not anyone who would have posed any threat to the Arabs. Just a handicapped young man taking a walk on a Saturday afternoon who had the misfortune to cross the path of a gang of homicidal maniacs. Now I don't condone the Shin Bet torturing Arab detainees, but a lot of people here rushing to condemn Israel might like to wait for the investigation to conclude.

What's a 17 year old 'minor' doing in shin-bet custody anyway? He was obviously arrested for doing something. I assume he wasn't being interrogated for stealing milk; it must be something a whole lot more sinister. I guess that's what you get for playing big boys games when you should have been in school.

And after 40 years of them blowing themselves up on busses and in our cafes, and making war on us from every possible side, why do you expect us to run out and kiss them? The strange thing is some of us still try. As for a 17 year old minor terrorist - they train them to be terrorists from 3 years old.

This is an example of sloppy journalism at its worst. After reading this article twice, I could find no indication of the crime this "youth" was alleged to have committed. Somehow, I suspect he wasn't picked up on a traffic infraction. This piece of reporting is almost as bad as the crap that comes from the AP and Reuters.

Easy to mouth off isn't it. Do you know ANYTHING about the Israeli/Palestinian problem? Anything at all? Do you know the roots? history? anything? Maybe you should go and do some in-depth reading about the conflict here before judging a country on one article on the internet.
