by manipulative wankers.
2. Conficence in IDF
Talula ,   Israel   (06.07.07)
I believe we learnt some very painful lessons last year. I think our arrogance was more dangerous to us than that fat porker Nasrallah. It will take time to become the army we once were but I believe we can do it. We can and will be the invincible army that the rest of the Middle East fears.
3. IDF is not the problem; Olmert and Peretz are

4. #2 CONFIDENCE...
josephine ,   london.uk.   (06.07.07)
"Half the population report that their confidence in the I.D.F has DECREASED..." "Nevertheless 80% of the Jewish population feel that they can DEPEND on the I.D.F....." Half = 50% versus 80%!! Which is true?? There are more contradictions and even worse...(see the bottom about the welfare of the individual :are they talking about the comfortable middle class,or the homeless and starving;I wonder which group you belong to if you are sitting all day at your computer writing endless, nonsense t/b's ;aren't you getting bored??Go out and demonstrate for the sick and starving, the penniless old-age pensioners, the ex-soldiers suffering from P.T.S.D in Gan Meir, the dying-from-cold-in-the-winter Russians in Shcunat x,y,z,. #1

You got me to respond to your petty post! So, Yehuda Ben Meir and Dafna Shaked of the Tel-Aviv Institute for National Security Studies, and Dr. Ben Meir the director of the National Security and Public opinion Project, also at INSS are the 'manipulative wankers'? Could it be Jo-baby, that in your book, everyone from here are 'manipulative wankers'. Um, does that mean you are against Israel? Do people not like Israel? Who!? Why not keep your 'gutter' remarks for your swastika friends? BTW, I can think of a people wo have been caught in the act of manipulation. Remember the Reuters doctored photos from the 2nd Leb war? That noble photographer who engaged in actual wankery - just a tiny example of real manipulative people!
6. #2 and confidence
English guy ,   London, UK   (06.07.07)
Well, a post in which she doesn't call for someone's execution. That must be a first. As for it taking time "to become the army we once were" - a fool's paradise. No one in the Middle East fears the "invincible army" any more. BTW your use of the expression "fat porker" to describe Nasrallah has overtones of Der Sturmer. Not very pleasant at all. Next thing, you'll be sending your own boys barrels of pork grease for their rifles.
7. Israel is slowling admitting reality
John ,   London,UK   (06.07.07)
Dr. Ben Meir and Shaked are claiming that now the Israeli people are keeping their fingers crossed that in another confrontation the mighty invinsible military will be able to cope with Hezbollah. July 2006 was the first time ever that Israeli army was stopped dead in its tracks. Olmert had issue order for it to go all the way to Latani River and do not stop until Hezbollah was completely crushed, the kidnapped Israeli men rescued and the missile threat to Israel is forever removed from the northern border. What was the result? Defeat. Read the Winograd Commision report which investigated utter failures of the Israeli forces and how they ran from Hezbollah fighters. Most analysts arounds the world say Israel did not realise that Hezbollah was simply too powerful a force for Israel to overcome, and that Israeli army is used to fighting refugees in camps like Gaza. It is predicted that next time Israel will not only face more humiliation but that Hezbollah may even cross the border to fight IDF on its own turf. Maybe they will walk straight onto Tel Aviv. Who is going to stop them? IDF? No chance.

I'm so happy you responded to my petty post #1.It's a shame you didn't respond to my even pettier post #4 where I was relating to :"the assessment of one's personal state...not only is (this) perception significantly higher...but the ratings ..maintain the high level of 2006...showing no effects of the Second Lebanon War"Ask the poor, the penniless, the sick, the elderly.Who were their respondents?Bank Managers,Private Dentists,Accountants et.al.Which group do you fall into?Don't say "I didn't know...I was only doing..." If you want to know the truth I was disabled in Israel, received 2058N.I.S per month (£250).from Bituach Leumi to pay for food rent, arnona, hashmal, mayim. You try it.So here I am in the U.K. :£900 per month (5,500N.I.S)Free Housing,no Arnona etc.I've even got my own computer. 12. To "John"
Hansje   (06.07.07)
The Winograd report didn't say that Israel was "defeated",nor that the Israeli forces "ran from Hezbolah". You're again making 1001 stories like Arabs use to do. Yes in 2 days Israeli "ran" toward the Litani and stayed there until October, cleaning the area out from Hez.bunkers and blowing them up. Where was Hez. meanwhile...? Israel was on Hezbollah territory not otherwise. Forget your "Breakfest in Tel Aviv of the Hez." aka Gamal Abel Nasser. Your perception of a kind of 'victory' stems only from the fact that Arabs could hold out some time longer dan 6 days against the IDF and shoot some rockets in open fields. But for this 'present' you have to thank Olmert and Co for not letting the IDF do its job! So thinking this way, You could conclude that the German army was victorious in the Normandy as she hold out for more than a month blocking the conquest of Caen to the allied forces and then shooting VI and V2 rockets on London and Antwerp till almost the last day of the war! But Germany didn't win, neither Hezbollah.
13. IDF
Abir ,   Chicago, IL USA   (06.07.07)
Confident in the IDF? You have gotta be kidding.......!!! For starters the IDF is directed by the political echelon, and we know how good they are. Our politicians consistently take incompetence to new levels, and then exceed them. As for the IDF, it is a citizen's army and a reflection of Israeli society. Unfortunately, it suffers from the fact that the best & brightest leave for greener pastures on civvy street, leaving those that are mediocre & below to run it.
