"that costed lives of some two hundred people " You made a typo :) - two hundred thousands people. Interesting info about the flags, somehow I was only aware that they put up the Polish flag. And regarding the mixing up of the two uprisings - one of the worst cases I've seen was in "Le Figaro" during the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the 1944 uprising. They wrote an article about it and of course they assumed that it was the Jewish Ghetto uprising. A few days later they put up a "correction article" and they...still made the same error. It was mind boggling.
62. Ancient city in Poland was named Gomer...

which is one of the names of places in Ezekiel's writings that will attack Israel. After listening to a holocaust survivor speak at B'Nai David Temple a month ago, I undertand why the Polish critics of Jews would be the most vocal. the speaker said Poland was far worse for Jews than Germany before World War II. Jews in Germany were accepted as part of the culture until Hitler's Reich attacked them. Many German Jews would not leave Germany when they still could because they simply could not believe they were no longer accepted or that other Germans would turn on them. It is that way again, today, in Germany. The Rabbi leader of the Jews does not want ads for aliyah's in Germany. The Jews there once again think they are accepted, not realizing the Fourth Reich is rising, the fourth head of a leopard in Daniel's prophecies in my opinion. The Germans I have met in America who were born in Germany HATE JEWS. I was attacked by them and ostracized for going to Israel and talking about aliyah. Finding out I have Jewish ancestors I am proud of turned the German-Americans into beasts. One called the police and said I threatened to eliminate her and testified in court I threatened to kill her every day for sixteen years. It was so absurd, she should have been put in a mental hospital. But instead, people believed her because they hated Jews, too. The Jews in Germany should leave while they still can. I am looking for a way to become an Israeli, myself.

when you will get it? you are right in saying that Poland also suffered from the Nazis, nobody is dismissing it. However, what people are saying is that there was one thing in common between the Nazis and the poles, the hatred against the jews. And by the way as there were jewish communists that betrayed Poland, there were also enough polish communists that betrayed their own motherland. One last thing your story about the jews planning their own country in Poland sounds like it came straight out of the elders of zion book. it looks like your true face is starting to come out at last.

66. it's not the flags, it's the narratives
1who knows ,   israel   (06.12.07)
Mr. Klieger is wrong. first in the details and secondly in the concept. details: 1. museum complained only about waving flags with POLES(sticks) INSIDE the barracks. 2. most barracks are othentic with a lot of would and can EASILY catch fire. israelis put candles not only on the ground. 3. the museum did NOT complained/blamed the children, but the guides. they also did NOT related to the hotel vandalizm. 4. museum allows ceremonies and singing in certain parts (mainly Birkenau) where it doesn't disturb other visitors. THE CONCEPT: when it comes to the Holocaust, there is the Jewish/Israeli side of the story and the Polish one. Poles want Israelis to hear their side of the story and when Israelis ignore or just avoid them-that's what offends them the most. "it's all in the narratives, stupid"

Echad: your quote: >> "you are right in saying that Poland also suffered from the Nazis, nobody is dismissing it." Man, read other posts. People from Israel OPENLY blame Poles and Poland 4 holocaust, for starting it, for collaborating, for murdering people (read: Jews). Above applies that Poland took active part in the holocaust (meaning ALL of those nations murdered, NOT only Jews). Therefore HEY!: they took a part in the killings, THEREFORE they COULD HAVE NOT suffered!! HOW?!?!?! They were the doers! These lies about Polish part in the killings is sooo wrong. Poles were the FIRST nation to suffer, the FIRST country to suffer, they had lost millions of many people, their infastructure was, in places, 80% destroyed. YET, none Pole, never EVER received any payment from Germany. My grandparents from my mother's side, both of them, were slaves in Third Reich. None of 'em received a penny for it. They both passed away in the '80 never ever heard EVEN freaken 'SORRY' from the Germans. Jews lived there, in Poland for 800 years, there were expelled from EVERY European country, to many of 'em they had NEVER ever an access. Yet, they found a 'holly ground' in Poland. Poland those days was like today's America: very democratic, you could believe in whatever you wanted. >>"And by the way as there were jewish communists that betrayed Poland, there were also enough polish communists that betrayed their own motherland." Sure there were, simply there had to be: someone needed to take over this barbarian system. Funny thing is: after the war, the second one, there was left only 1% (one per cent) of Jewish population (as I found out on-line, I might be wrong about the percentage), YET they (Jews) managed to be a 30% (thirty per cent) of communits activists SLASH secret police SLASH party leaders. THAT is an amazing number, isn't it?! Just ONE per cent of population playing THIRTY per cent of murderous system's activity. >> One last thing your story about the jews planning their own country in Poland sounds like it came straight out of the elders of zion book. it looks like your true face is starting to come out at last. Your crap about common hatred is pure propaganda. Jews lived among Poles for ages, not even trying to intergrate (there are some GREATEST exceptions, Poles with Jewish background). As a 'thank you' they wanted to create a land of their own on Polish soil, when Poland was split to 3 enemies, without indepandacy. Every Polish movement wanting to regain an independance was strongly boycotted by Jews: they wanted their own country in there. Screw Poles, WE'RE chosen nation, right?! http://www.kki.com.pl/piojar/polemiki/land/land3.html Very last thing, dude: "However, what people are saying is that there was one thing in common between the Nazis and the poles" Oh, so 'PEOPLE' are saying, aren't they? Whos they? ANY names, any links, any quotes?! Please, be my guest. G. PS. When will YOU get it?! ~g.

72. Germans
Matti ,   Poland   (07.24.07)
Germany was murdered 6 million polish peole witch 3 million of them was polish jews. A first in Ausschwitz was murdered polish people who work in politic and than the German start to murdered jews. No body in Poland would say that they where happy that Germans came to Poland and start to murdered the polish people witch had jewish religion. Polish people was trying to help polish jews and hide them at his own homes. In every country are people that they don´t like Jews, in Germany, France, USA, UK, and in another countries. But in Poland as a Jew you don´t need to afraid that somedody put a bomb in a car and kill people on the street or in a bus. Did you hear that Jews in Poland where atac from another polish people???? Polish Jews are save in Poland more save than on a street in Israel. From 1939 till 1989 there where no democratic Poland and its not easy to remember to all polish people that before 1939 Poland was a country where people lived with Jews, Catholic, Protestant, Moslems. Poland was a country with bigest Jewish group in Europe and in maybe in the world before the state Israel was on the map. In Warsaw was about 400 synagouges and the bigest jewish comunity in Poland. Today the synagouges are yousing by the polish jews. And they are liveing here very happy. And when in Poland where so bad they would moved to USA or to Israel but they don´t do that. And more and more Israeli witch was born in Poland or the family was born in Poland want back the polish pasport because they can do more with a polish pasport in Europe as with the Israeli. So as Poland is so bad and they murderd Jews, so why the Jews want now the polish pasport back????
73. Future together!!!
Matti ,   Poland   (07.24.07)
I think, that people from Israel and Poland should talk and talk about the problems. Young people from Israel should have contact with the young people from Poland and they should talk talk talk, and have time to do together things. Without the securty, because Poland in not Israel. In Poland there are no teror, the Germans groups of young people are comeing to Poland too and they safe like the young people from Israel. And the Germans should more afraid to go to Poland then a Israeli. The polish people see only young people from Israel with their securty and it´s look like as they where in one of arabic countries and they afraid that somebody of polish people will do something bad to them. The young people from Israel can´t hide on their security becase it doesn´t help to have contact with polish people. What would happend in Israel when polish catholic travelers where came with his own security???? I thing that the polish people need more his own security in Israel then people from Israel in Poland. There are no teror in Poland and no body kill people with a bomb on the street or in a bus. Polish people afraid to travel to Israel because the afraid the teror and the Israeli afraid polish people. The people and the politic should talk about what the people afraid. And change it. It´s crazzy that their are problems like this. Why the young Israeli travel to Germany and they are not afraid to travel there like to Poland. Poland, France, UK, USA they all was fight to stop the Germans to killed jews and other nations. Poland is no bad country, all polish people would like have poland like before 1939. Because when the II war never where in europe, they where never comunism in Poland and no 6 million polish people where killed, because every familly in Poland lost family members in the II war. Not only Jews was murdered and they should know that. They should speak about future and waht Poland and Israel can do together in the world and not talk only about history.
74. Read it:Sharp rise in Israelis seeking German citizenship!!!
Matti ,   Poland   (07.24.07)
Israeli want to have German citizenship, that is shock!!! And in Polish newspapers is the same but there the Israeli want the Polish citizenship. Israeli say that Germans and Poles murdered Jews and then they want the citizenship of this coutries. It´s crazzy!!! Are the Israelis love Poland but they afraid to say it, because they are Israelis???? Sharp rise in Israelis seeking German citizenship More than 4,000 Israelis received German citizenship last year, marking 50 percent increase from 2005. ‘For me it is important that I can have a European passport; I have no problem being German,’ 30-year-old Israeli says Reuters Published: 07.24.07, 19:42 / Israel News The number of Israelis who obtained German citizenship rose sharply last year in a sign that a younger generation of Jews is shedding an aversion to the country where the Holocaust was masterminded. According to figures published by the Federal Statistics Office this week, 4,313 Israelis received citizenship last year, an increase of over 50 percent compared to 2005, and the largest total since German records began a quarter of a century ago. German law makes it easy for former citizens who fled the country during Nazi rule to regain their citizenship and offers the same chance to their descendants. But few Israelis took advantage of this until recently -- a shift experts attribute to rising political instability in the Middle East, opportunities within an enlarged European Union and new attitudes towards Germany of a younger Israeli generation. 'Doors are open to most countries in the world' The Nazis killed an estimated six million European Jews during their 12-year rule. "The grandparents did not want to be German for obvious reasons. They taught their children that being German was a bad thing. But this is the first generation which thinks differently," said Katy Elmaliah, whose law firm in Tel Aviv helps young Israelis get German passports. Candidates are seeking better educational and work opportunities in the 27-nation EU. "They know it opens the door for the EU and offers many opportunities," she told Reuters. Estimates show that some 300,000 Israelis may be eligible to become German citizens. There are now an estimated 100,000 Jews in Germany compared with 600,000 before the war. At the end of World War Two, only 12,000 Jews remained. A flood of Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union in the 1990s led to a rebirth of Germany's Jewish community. Lothar Schulz, from the federal authority which deals with granting citizenships, said renewed violence between Israel and its neighbors was a factor in the rise in applications from Israel. "They can come here and their doors are open to most countries in the world," he said. An Israeli man in his 30s who recently obtained citizenship but did not want to be cited by name said being German opened up new horizons for him and his family. "For my mother and my father the memories of the past are too hard. They would never want to be German but for me it is important that I can have a European passport," he said. "I have no problem being German."
