1. pensioners
Michael ,   Haifa   (06.10.07)
I suspect that many of the young people who voted for the pensioners did so out of disgust with and protest against the degenerate cynical politicians, like Barak, Olmert and Netanyahu. Barak simply wants to transform Labour into Kadima, an amorphous centrist party that has nothing to say about anything at all.
2. Leftist discourse is dead. If they change rhetoric it will
Rachel ,   Tel Aviv   (06.10.07)
only be cosmetic since they really believe in that nonsense even in the face of contrary reality on the ground. Will they never wake up?
3. Barak, a ludicrous figure
RobertK ,   Jerusalem   (06.10.07)
Yes, before Barak became PM, he engaged in a less left-wing "discourse" than most other Laborites. Then, in his short tenure as PM, he got Tzahal to flee from Lebanon in the middle of the night while abandoning our allies there, tried to hand the whole Golan to Syria, and tried to hand all of Judea, Samaria, Gaza, East Jerusalem, the Western Wall, and a piece of the Negev to Arafat. Barak, I guess that was your right-wing discourse? What an incredible clown, no mental coherence or beliefs at all. And Amir Peretz is even worse, and Ami Ayalon just as bad! The Labor Party. Once peopled by respectable figures like Ben-Gurion, Allon, Meir, Dayan, Galili, Katznelson. What happened to it? Rotted on the vine. Too much rejection of Jewish tradition--the later generations just float in a void, unattached to anything except a hope of turning the Middle East into Benelux and getting enough anti-Zionist Arabs to vote for them. Barak, go home and play tennis on your kibbutz.
4. The Guy Who Wanted To Give Our Enemies OUR Capital Says This
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (06.10.07)
The guy who wanted to give our enemies almost ALL of OUR Judea, Samaria, and Gaza says this? Can you say "political posturing"? I thought you could. He and Bibi should go give each other lessons- far away from us.
5. Labour Deserves Political Oblivion.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.10.07)
Changing the rhetoric is too little, too late. The morons who were the architects of Oslo don't deserve anyone's vote.
6. Barak's Lebanon Surrender is what fueled the Left

8. Leftest discord
jeremy ,   Hula Valley Kibbutz   (06.10.07)
Wow, maybe, just maybe some one gets it. Barak is right, I personally would never vote for Labor because of their leftest ideas. Socialism is dead, ask any kibbutz were privatization is taking place. Support cutting taxes and stop making deals with Meretz and I'd vote for ya
9. SAME OLD CON MAN
Moshe Ben-Yehoshua ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.10.07)
In 1999, Barak played the patriotic, centrist, Laborite, defeated Bibi and led us straight to Kulturkampf at home (remember the secularization bills of september 2000) and multiple disaster in security matters (the South Lebanon withdrawal, the Second Intifada). We wont be fooled a second time.
10. Barak- who coulndt sell Jerusalem to Harafart.
Rehavam ,   Israel   (06.10.07)
This how Barak going down history. At least my history. SHAME.
