1. Better ballistic now, than nuclear in a few years.
Hamburger ,   Hamburg   (06.11.07)
So what does this mean - first they spit in everybody's face refusing to stop nuclear programs, and now they wanna hold the hole world by the b*lls with ballistic missiles? Will things be better when they have nuclear weapons? Unlikely...
2. The Iranians are really scared
Mikeytrix   (06.11.07)
This rhetoric is different from the brazen speaches of the past. It now sounds like a forgone conclusion that an attack will happen. The Iranians have accepted this fact. Iran's gov't and military will be crippled in a matter of days. But you can say that the Mullah's had a good run.
3. R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Talula ,   Israel   (06.11.07)
Israel has the nukes, so show us a little respect man. Trouble is, he knows we are a civilized state and wouldn't nuke them just for the fun of it. I say we should!!!
4. Blah Blah Blah Blah
Cy ,   Reading, Berks   (06.11.07)
That jumped up moron full of hot air wants to trigger a war? Yes WE DO KNOW. Ive just returned from two weeks in Teheran. Ahmadinejad IS A JOKE! With a monkey brain and a foul mouth. Everyone there knows he comes out with this trash to deflect criticism from his failures at home. But he does have a following of fanatics who not only want to trigger a regional war but want to create Armageddon. Hes mentally and emotionally unstable, he has sexual problems and this is someone who wants nuclear weapons?
5. Only hope:nuking Tehran, destroying all enemy's leaders
Hanna   (06.11.07)
Only hope:nuking Tehran, destroying all enemy's leaders, before they use their nukes against Israel. If the enemy's leaders are destroyed then no one will be there to order the firing of any nukes. They just don't stop threateing Israel with destruction and keep repeating that they want to kill everyone and occupy the land. They are just like other Islamic warnongers who are greedy for conquiring lands and dominating the world. Israel should care about its own people more than it cares about an enemy states's civilians.
6. IRAN PLAYS POKER. ................USA HOLD THE ACES
NO PROBLEM ,   ..............DACON9   (06.11.07)
7. Ynetnews. Definition of "trigger" ?
Peter Morris ,   New Zealand   (06.11.07)
If you bomb another country then its you who trigger the conflict. So If Iran has to respond then that will a defensive response and not the other way round. Ynet get a dictionary. By the way there is no evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons just as Iraq.
8. A: He Is Scared, B: He Is Serious, C: Bush Is Not
David ,   Marietta USA   (06.11.07)
Bibi, I hope you are reading this.
9. Missile Blitz
Brod ,   USA   (06.11.07)
This is expected. Hence, those missiles need to be neutralized along with their nuke plants. The Ayatollahs/fanatics would have to be replaced by regular Iranian nation builders.
10. Remember Nasser?
seth ,   idf   (06.11.07)
Back in the time he had such a big mouth how he's gonna "crush" israels army... why we had minimal losses, we destroyed the whole egyptian army including all his huge air fleet and we held 10'000 soldiers in prison (which we later have let go). seems like history is repeating herself. the iranian monkeys will be so emberassed soon, they will stick their head back in the sand where it was before. though, i feel sorry for the rational and peace loving iranians who hate achmedinejad, who will suffer g-d's right hand (israel). to all israel haters, please make your holidays in iran this summer, you like fireworks?
11. # 3
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.11.07)
Good idea, but....do you realize what hell we would get from the rest of the free world??
12. #3 RESPECT
English guy ,   London   (06.11.07)
When you say that Israel wouldn't nuke Iran... are you not the same person who recently stated in public that Iran, Syria and Lebanon should be turned into a parking lot? Not a lot of difference there. So you live in a civilised state, do you??? Where civilians have civilised ideas? I think the expression hoist by your own petard might be appropriate.
13. World War 3
Peace-Man ,   Tel aviv, Israel   (06.11.07)
Delete islam of the world = Peace, And forever.
14. Iran threatens neighbors if attacked
roxy ,   israel   (06.11.07)
The world now knows that Iran doesn't care about its muslim neighbors either, and I do believe that they would bomb them just as fast as they would attack Israel. That is why it is such a threat and needs to be handled properly before they aquire nukes. However remember it is not the Iranian people that are our enemies, but their government(which is their enemy too), if we support the anti government elements in Iran they can overthrow their regime and live in peace with us, however if attacked even those that are anti government will rally around it simply because they are being attacked. W e need to seed a revolution there and let them get rid of him for the rest of us.
15. Reminds of Saddam Rhetoric
Sayani ,   Stuttgart   (06.11.07)
Moslems speaks usually very loudly. Iran will cause some damages but only at the start of the US assault. Afterwards there is no chance for the Mullahs; they will go down like Saddam with his Al-Hussein Missiles. But of course it is good for the US to hear this news; it will help them in their planning. God bless America and Israel to tear apart the global Jihadist.
16. Good for Iranian people
Daniel ,   Israel   (06.11.07)
Iran will trigger all-out regional war if attacked, official says Good for Iranian people, if Ahmadinejad wins he is a hero; Iranians will have something to boast about. If he looses (most likely he will) he will go Saddam way. Iranians will live in peace ever after.
17. All the More Reason To Bomb Them.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.11.07)
Threats & intimidation show how fearful they are of a military strike against them. But they also show the determination to obtain nuclear weapons & their true intentions to cause havoc in the Middle-East. Imagine how aggressive they will be if they do obtain nuclear weapons. It is clearly unacceptable. Statements such as these only underscore the need for a massive military action against them to remove their capacity to retailiate. It's time to remove the fangs from these snakes with beards or their poison will infect the whole region.
18. One has the Iranian dictators
Hiram ,   Tel Aviv   (06.11.07)
that one deserve. the west bears a heavy responsability in the rise to power of the Islamic Nazi Mahmoud. This includes of course the Israelis whose technology is somehow already available in Iran.. ( Did we do business with Iran not long ago ? )
19. #12
Talula ,   Israel   (06.11.07)
Actually, what I think I said was that Iran, Syria and Iraq should be turned into shrapnel. But those are just my views and not those of my government. So, show's over, no dirt for you to feast on here.
20. #11
Talula ,   Israel   (06.11.07)
Remember when we bombed Iraq's nuclear plant? How the world screamed and condemned us. Remember how happy they were around 14 years later? I for one am sick and tired of hearing this debauched mental case threaten my country, day in and day out. AND he doesn't even have nuclear weapons yet. Imagine our lives when he does. No matter what we do, the world hates us anyway, so we may as well take care of ourselves and our critics can go whistle Dixie.
21. #12, well tiny, tiny, tiny difference
Danny   (06.11.07)
I don't believe Talula is a senior member of the IDF, nor our president, nor our PM. I would suggest she is an ordinary civilian. Another tiny diference, Israel has not "turned in a park lot" any of the countries it has fought with nor has it used any WMDs it may have. Iran used copious amount of gas during the Iran-Iraq war. So who are you going to trust?
22. LOL
(06.11.07)
He added that Iran currently bans such transits from Afghanistan, forcing them to take longer routes and risk capture in other countries. “This positive action would not continue if Iran is attacked by the US.” What a joke! Iran is scared shitless of Uncle Sam.
23. #12 - English guy
Ram ,   London   (06.11.07)
Lets be logical for a moment, forgetting whose side we are on. If a country knew for sure that another country has fired or intends to fire a substantial barrage of missiles that could bring about the threat of its demise, how should it react? a) Do nothing? b) Wait till its bombed then respond? c) Respond after it is mortally wounded? d) Pre-empt in a manner to prevent the attack? All the rhetoric from Iran is increasing the chance of a major tragedy occurring in the ME. Anyone in his right mind knows this attitude from the Iranians is out of order. If the USA will not stop Iran shouldn't Israel try to? From this equation, sustitute Israel with any other country and tell me what you think.
24. #7, interesting definition of defensive
Danny   (06.11.07)
So If say Israel attacks Iran then a "defensive" response is to attack the Gulf states? What like when Sadam sent missiles at Israel when the allied coalition - of which Israel was not a part - moved to push Iraq out of Kuwait. I looked up "defensive" in the OED and it didn't have "randomly attacking other countries when attacked yourself". What does your dictionary say?
25. woooow...good idea. Assured mutual distruction!!
KMR ,   Middle East   (06.11.07)
26. Hey, (Ahma) Dino, listen...!!!
enzo ,   london,uk   (06.11.07)
Dino, in case of an attack you have 120 (one hundred and twenty) SECONDS to kiss your ass GOODBYE...!!! The good thing is that you know that...!!! Hahaha...Dino...your days are numbered!!! You won't see the Mahdi, I'm afraid...
27. You see, you can't really defend yourslef
(06.11.07)
you just a terrorist treating civilians.
28. Iran, big brother watches you. From Gabala
Damir ,   Russia   (06.11.07)
Putin did offer. Now Bush gone thinking. But I'm interested in what Israeli think of it. Suddenly this is not faraway european affair, but has been moved twice as near to Israel. Suddenly the Israel opinion in this matter gains weight. Iran has been already concerned by the possibility that the radar completely overlooking all its territory might be wired to missile sites. Of course they knew about the radar (and US did), knew also that all launches are being tracked, how much, how far, how precise. And they knew that Russia will never fire upon Iran first. So they kept polite with Moscow and thought that's enough and kept 'rocking the boat.' Until recently. Already Iran expressed a wish to talk with Moscow. But words are out, moreover it was confirmed that offer remains. I think the world just has been turned a bit. All the Irani nuclear-ballistic programme has just received another bit of uncertainity. US has yet to respond to the offer. I understand these thing aren't done in a rush. There are plans laid for years, forward schedules drawn ahead. No army bureaucrat will just dispose of them and start over again. This must be a President-grade decision. But I have no doubts this offer is in Israel favour. Iran must stop rocking the boat.
29. 322 IS CORRECT....................IRAN SHOWS THE FEAR OF USA
..............DACON9   (06.11.07)
30. TAULA..........WHAT RESPECT? #3
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (06.11.07)
Your talk-back sounds like a joke to me.You mean to say that if Israel is restraining itself due to civility????That is a joke of the year,Talula.Be updated, man. If Israel were to even attempt that, not a single city in Israel would survive. What a joke! You made my day,Taula.
