1. Gays/ Lesbian/ Straight / Crooked....what ever...
ben ,   singapore   (06.17.07)
.... Why dont you gays do something worth while ? Now cut all that cross dressing, go into Gaza and whereever in the ARAB Nation RESCUE the kidnapped soldiers and after that meet Peretz , Nasrallah, Haniyeh Khalid Marshaal - slap them , pinch them or what ever you want to do with them ! BTW Gays you cant beat the New YORK and RUSSIAN CABARET Real Gals : - )~ hee hee hee
2. To this IGNORANT Writer and others who agree
Miriam ,   Jerusalem   (06.17.07)
The Talmud states that "G-d restrains His wrath over everything except immorality". It's time you get some Torah education.
3. Could you, Assaf, or anyone else Enlighten us
Miriam ,   Jerusalem   (06.17.07)
If this abomination is not immorality, what exactly IS "immorality"? And what is "modesty"? Or would you say that in the 21st century "immorality" and "modesty" is obsolete?
4. To #1 - Maybe address your glee to the Haredim too
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (06.17.07)
Many Gays serve in the army. They defend our country and die for it and don't sit in Singapore when our country is being attacked. I have never heard the Haredim praying for the release of our soldiers. No, they are to busy spreadinf hatred against Jewish Gays.
5. 3 year old baby injured
josh ,   jerusalem israel   (06.17.07)
last night the police shot water cannons at civillian homes in meah shaarim shattering glass windows, a three year old girl got glass in her face and had to be sent to the hosptial. but not one news article about it. absoultely disgusting!
6. PRIORITIES, PRIORITIES, PRIORITIES!
BILL HANDEL ,   BROOKLYN, USA   (06.17.07)
In my not-so-humble opinion, your priorities are misplaced. Immorality is priority number 1 with G-D. It always brings deadly consequences. To the North, Hezbollah stands ready to attck (with Syria, to the South, Hamas, to the west, Iran. In his Bible, G-D gives us the lesson of Balak and the dauughters of Midian, plus Sodom and Gomorrah, to teah us how high a priority G-D places on morality.
7. Torah?! Read this!
lisa ,   israel   (06.17.07)
Learn Torah?! I went to Bet Shemesh for Shabbat and I'm not even religious but at the end of Shabbat a bunch of Hassidim kids ages ranging from 12 to about 6 or 7 blocked off the main road with a supermarket trolly and crates and some branches. The buses and cars had to stop for someone to get out and keep moving these obstacles every time the kids put them back on the road and then they lit a fire on the road! There was not one parent supervising these kids and no-one, except for my dad who chased them away, and it took a passanger on a bus to put out the fire!!! Why are they not in their homes learning Torah with their dads?! Because they learnt these tricks from their parents protesting and setting fire to things and blocking the roads! Where in the Torah does is say that one has to do this?!!!!!!!! So stop it about learning Torah when the kids are out of control because of the parents who are obviously not looking for their kids to learn Torah!
8. why protest?
david ,   raanana   (06.17.07)
why, in the first place, should they protest? saying they should also protest "the parade of Shabbat desecration that takes place each week far from their eyes, especially in Ga'ash and Shefayim..." in my opinion, they shouldn't protest a thing, this is a free country. To finish, an open question: they say they protest to keep jerusalem's sanctity, they even went to the extreme of physically attacking 3 persons. now I ask: how in the hell is protesting against the right of another group of people to celebrate whatever they want to celebrate, attacking people, protesting against another human beings...keeping jerusalem's "sanctity"? I don't get it! So when the haredim nesds to close the streets of jerusalem to protest against people, that's OK, to that effect the municipality allows them tp protest wiithout thinking twice, but whem the homosexuals want to have a parade, want to just live and let live, that's wrong. I don't get this mentality.

charles ,   petach tikva   (06.17.07)
If you play with fire , you can get burned . Pray a little bit , and she will probably be healed by a secular doctor .
10. Charles, your intelligence is impressive indeed.
AB ,   TheRock   (06.17.07)
For starters, you do not have to be secular to be a doctor. Secondly the very reason for this child getting hurt is as a result of the secularists' behaviour by being part of or by condoning the gay parade.
11.  THE GAY DONT GO AWAY
RCA ,   USA   (06.17.07)
They are here to stay. They have always been here, and likely always will be. They have their roles to play in society, and we have ours. They are one of the creative portions of society. They are our great dancers, designers, actors, florists, our barbers and hairdressers, interior decorators, our cooks, authors, even our athletes, leaders, and soldiers. They help add the flourish, the pizazz, the artistic, the festive, the bim- bam -boom to the world in which we live. They are even the members of our own families. Who among us wishes to scornfully persecute members of our own families ? I certainly don't ! I do not wish to persecute anyone ! From the begining of time, in the animal world, and in the human race, there have always been homosexuals on the planet. Why ? Only G-D knows this. But it is obvious that HE / SHE has seen to it that they are always here. Maybe there is a lesson to be learned by all involved. The world and society are certainly large enough to provide for them. You can't say , that as a group they do not contribute something that we all need, especially when you think of entertainment, frivolity, festivity, and even just pure raw talent in whatever fields they choose to apply themselves. They are even our Rabbis. They add color and verve to our struggling world. LIVE and LET LIVE ! There is no sense throwing a "hissy fit " about them !
12. how about fight gay parade AND corruption?

14. #9 charles
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (06.18.07)
How evil and disgusting you are to cheer the injury of a Jewish toddler and claim this baby deserved it. But when Palestinian children, used as human shields by Hamas, are injured by IDF action you always say shame on the IDF. It appears your hate of religious Jews extends even to the babies and children.
15. why do we need this?
eliezer ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.18.07)
What is the purpose of coming to God's holy city where the majority of the citizens wish to live a religious life and showing to all of its citizens that you despise what is written in the Bible? Do these people really want to live their lifestyle in peace or do they want confrontation?
16. WHY ARE THE ARABS NOT PROTESTING THE GAY PARADE?
SAM WALKER ,   usa   (06.18.07)
JUST SHOWS THAT THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT JERUSALEM.
17. Isaiah is against every evil
Josh   (06.18.07)
even those who publicise that evils should be ignored or are ok. Take the hint Assaf Whole. As for Charles, you are a never ending commentary on what is wrong with the world. Idiocy has a voice and this is why the world is turning to rot. Wisemen should be leaders not fools. Gay voices should not ring out in the streets along with aithiests who misrepresent Isaiah's words. Rather the voices of those who rejoice in G-d - the G-d of the Jews. (hint...not Jesus Charles).
18. Yes but God also said..
m   (06.18.07)
" if you see someone sinning and you do not warn him, then his blood which I will demand from him , will be upon your head, because you did not warn him." And apart from that mankind is bringing the whole world to ruin by their perversion of the natural systems, that God has put in place. Sex has its scheme in the natural events of life, and like all of natuire is under divine 'laws' that man has no right to 'buggarize' with.
19. #4 David of Karmiel
Shalom   (06.18.07)
Idiot - All Hareidim and religious pray for each and every of our kidnapped soldiers, 3 TIMES A DAY -- many (self included) BY NAME!!! Also for Jonathan Pollard;for an end to the horrific mess this Nation is in, etc; for peace for the inhabitants of Sderot, etc. When you fools write your TBs about Hareidim - remember, have you prayed for anyone recently???
20. Kyle , you do'nt understand and are a lier
charles ,   petach tikva   (06.18.07)
Where did i "cheer" ? i said that if you demonstrate violently , there can happen something for you . If i'm crossing a red light [ play with fire] i can be hurt . Where did i say "shame on the IDF" ? NEVER DID I SAY THIS , You are a LIER Yoy are only looking how to attack seculars . In this case , as in all the others , you only show how stupid you are , poor kyle .
21. 18: M, if you're so sure of that
David Teich ,   Rehovot   (06.18.07)
I suggest you read some of King David's love songs and poems written to male "friends". Meanwhile, read your own text, it says you should "warn" transgressors, not violently assault them.

ROCK ON !!!!!
23. Fight BOTH, why you should choose only one!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (06.18.07)
24. #david you'r right, and your wrong
m   (06.18.07)
Your right violence against any individual is wrong, and in the past men did bash up gays, and it was wrong. But King David loved Jonathan even more then women. but it is ;love' he felt for jonathan and you should not confuse 'love' with 'lust' because David is a wonderful example how men can love and be affectionate with one another without sexual connatations. SEX and LOVE are two different things, and in marriage they combine to form new life.
25. Simply our decay of society
David   (06.18.07)
I certainly don't agree with what is happening and wish it would never occur. But let the parade go on, it's nothing more then to show how low we have become as a nation and a world. There are many good people that suffer daily because of what is happening. Also, there are groups of gay and lesbian religious that follow Torah explicitly but have an alternative lifestyle. Why is this not brought up and protested by the religous. For all you religious that claim a Jew is based on observance, this blows your theory all to hell because I assure you that you are not keeping the Torah 100%. Such hypocrites. And to those who slander the secular who don't keep man made halachah saying they are not Jews but a 'convert' claiming to keep what ever is logical is Jewish because a 'rabbi' claims it to be is nausiating to say the least. No wonder no legitimate Jewish group recognises him as legitimate!!
26. #21 David Teich
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (06.18.07)
Which capitlach of Tehillim did David HaMelech write for "male friends."?? All the Tehillim are praise to G-D.
27. Josh
charles ,   petach tikva   (06.18.07)
Explain , where i did not end my comments . I can only add , that all your prayers to god will not help you to become smart . Try to read a little bit what GOOD israelis write , and not the trash of some of those "religious" still living in the dark middle ages . And as for god , i'm not a believer , you know . In respect for some much better religious people [ that's not difficult to be a better Jew as you ] , i will not answer on your low level . Poor TRUE religious who have to support such one as you , they deserve much better .
28. CORRUPTION IS HORRID
David ,   Jerusalem   (06.18.07)
but your quoting Isaiah, doesn't negate the fact that G-d calls it an abomination. Certainly all that you have mentioned and in the forefront is this homosexual issue. Our silence about one evil doesn't neutralize the validity of others. Many groups are silenced by money, is that the problem now? Yes! May G-d not judge us as he did our forefathers and have mercy on us and cause us to do Teshuva.
29. RCA
charles ,   petach tikva   (06.18.07)
Even if i know who you are , regarding religion , i'm surprised and impressed with your tolerance . I can only agree with this of course . I hope i did'nt hurt your feelings with my other tb's . They were certainly not intended to do this . They were adressed to other "people" , hatefull people . The only thing those ultra orthodox have done is to widden the gap between them and seculars . They do'nt do anything to unify our people . And then they pretend that we , the seculars , hate them . Sad .
30. #29- Charles
RCA ,   USA   (06.19.07)
There was no offense taken, Charles. I think I know what you mean to say, and to whom, when you say it. We can be comfortable with each other after all this time. And if it happens, we can always agree to disagree like gentlemen. Thank you for the compliment.
