4. HRW
Rick S. ,   L.A.   (06.13.07)
I must be dreaming. HRW is actually accusing the Palis of committing war crimes? I thought only Israel is "guilty" of that. I thought it was OK for the Palis to target civilians (as long as they are Jewish) but for Israel to surgically take out terrorists was a "nono". I guess one never knows what goes on in the minds of the far left.
5. she forgot the word "non jewish"
yosef ,   tel aviv   (06.13.07)
“These attacks...constitute brutal assaults on the most fundamental humanitarian principles,” said Sarah Leah Whitson... for Human Rights Watch. “The murder of civilians not engaged in hostilities and the willful killing of captives are war crimes, pure and simple.” Considering the silence of HRW when Arabs did exactly the same to Jews over the past years indicates that Sarah Whitson should have said that these are war crimes only when done to non-Jews. HRW and Sarah Whitson are racists worst than the apartheid regime of South Africa.

10. The next step? A trip to Belgium, no?
JPS ,   Efrat   (06.13.07)
So the precedent says that if Haniya et al are accused of war crimes, then they must be put on trial in a Belgian court to face justice. Or, am I just being to cynical to expect any human rights group to actually express the desire for the same "justice" when they brought Ariel Sharon up on charges? HRH, Amnesty and other NGOs have to wake up and smell the coffee - they have set back the quest for universal human rights by their blatant anti-Israel bias.
11. So ten how is it Israel's fault?
Mush DeLeon ,   Austin, Texas   (06.13.07)
It has to be if those dbags at HRW are condemning it.
12. Animals
Leor ,   TA, Israel   (06.13.07)
They dont care if they have to kill 40000 innocent babies to win their mafia war. They are a nation with no morals, and all the reports in the world wont make any of them blink an eye.
13. HUMAN RIGHTS only WATCH
Talula ,   Israel   (06.13.07)
And what exactly are they going to do with the information they have gathered about these war crimes? They will do nothing, and the Palestinians will continue to kill each other and disregard human rights and lives AND international law. So, at the end of the day, what's the point of these organizations? I just hope that the international community is taking notes of what is happening in Gaza right now. Israel cannot be blamed or held responsible for the murderous and reckless way of life that Hamas (the supposed government) has created for its people in Gaza. They were voted in by the people, they had a responsibility to those people to try and give them a better way of life. Instead they chose not to accept Israel's existence, ignore the starving and the downtrodden in favour of all out war with their own people and their neighbours. Hamas will never be victorious against Israel. It won't. It should give up trying and try to make life in the Middle East bearable for everyone, especially the Palestinians who are living in dire conditions. I don't see any of their 'brothers' rushing in to help them solve this crisis either. Why? Because they simply don't care about them, so nothing new there then.

Talula ,   Israel   (06.13.07)
'Wars of the law' what does that mean? Do you have laws in Gaza saying that its government can go shooting and killing people? Laws? you don't even have a recognised legal system. Your legal system consists of taking someone into the street and shooting them at point blank range in the head. Oh man you backed the wrong horse!
15. These men were once children indoctrinated to hate
Tracy W   (06.13.07)
and to commit atrocities if they were "right" and the others "wrong". When life is devalued to such a extent, children grow up to be adults who kill others without any conscience. There were times when they managed to kill Jews, pregnant women, children, they didn't care. And when they did, their families cheered on. Predictably this time Arab violence has been turned against each other. Will Palestinians be able to make the connection between their children's upbringing and the violence in the streets? Or will they once again blame everything on the "Israeli occupation"?
16. What took HRW so long?
Zvi   (06.13.07)
None of this is at all new. The Palestinian terrorist groups have been doing ALL OF THIS for years.

If they were to be called "anti-semite watch", I would have thought you would be rather fond of them. They are called "human rights watch" as they monitor human rights abuses across the world. Were they called "anti-semite watch", they would monitor ant-semitism across the world. Moron.

24. Human Rights. . . why the outrage?
Granny ,   NH, USA   (06.13.07)
This is a wonderful report to see. It is about time that Human Rights Watch condemned the actions of the "palestinians." I just have one question: If everyone is subject to "international humanitarian law" (I am not sure there is such a thing) then why hasn't Human Rights Watch been vocal in condemning the human rights violations of the "palestinians" when those actions are directed at Israeli teenagers eating pizza on Saturday night? Aren't Israeli's part of humanity too - and subject to the same "laws."? Or is it because most Israelis are Jews? Human Rights Watch is letting their prejudice hang out like so much dirty laundry!
25. Human Rights Watch should accuse AI 1st

Rashid, Bunnykins, something tells aunt Talula that you don't actually believe what you were taught in school. Now, what I suggest you do, is go and read proper English history books and come to your own conclusions. You don't need to be brain washed by some disgruntled teacher.
