4. Yes They Deserve A State
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (06.13.07)
You know it's bad when Gazans are admitting that life would be much better under Israeli occupation - not that Israel is dumb enough to go back.
5. Why is a condemnatory statement from the UN on the violence?
selectively silent   (06.13.07)
Where is the statement about how unacceptable it is for UN personnel to be caught in the crossfire, ever, and how an investigation must be launched? Why has the UN barely bothered to condemn the infighting at all?

12. The great Hamas victory ( ! )
hiram ,   tel-aviv   (06.13.07)
The victory of hamas ! What a laugh ! The hoodlums of Gaza are achieving only one thing : creating a mass movement of people leaving gaza...to where ? the Egyptian sands ? (Following the escalations in the infighting between the Hamas and Fatah factions in the Gaza Strip in the last few hours, hundreds of Palestinians have broken through the Rafah crossing in southern Gaza into Egypt. (Ali Waked)) Hamas so called " leaders" ( we all know that the word leader and the world " Islamist" are not compatible, hence my parenthesis ) are simply leading Gaza to a humanitarian catastrophy simply for ego's sake and under false pretenses. Hamas who already had Jewish blood on their hand now have also the blood of their so called arab brothers. Islamism will never cease to amaze me and Palestinian " leadership" will always make me want to throw up. I sincerely pity those uneducated enough who were conned into casting their " votes" for the terrorist organisation supposedly lead by the now infamous Hanniyeh who is today killing is brothers ...not to say his constituants .. Elect me first, then I 'll make sure you will remember it ! Hanniyeh will be refered to as criminal. He will not have achieved anything.....not even celebrity . On the other side may be other arab countries should look at this situation as a pedagogic tool to avoid in the future the error of letting Islamism settle and take over....After all , the Saudis are not THAT stupid...nor the Jordanians, the Tunisians, nor the ..........! Terrorism will always be terrorism regardless if against the West, the south the north or the East. Islamist terror organisations are the result of Arab leniency and incomptence . Hamas comforts the International community in its dispositions and prejudice against the Palestinian people and Hanniyeh himself which no one - except the Palestinian- ever trusted. Wearing a beard is not always a sign of wisdom especially in Palestine. The Islam that Hannieyh is using as an excuse to establish his domination has nothing to do with the real basic values of Islam and his attitude will probably bring Gaza an other 20 to 30 years back as far as economic situation is concerned. Too bad, too sad and especially injust. The Palestinian as a whole certainly do not deserve to suffer in the hands of their authorities but again, if there is any "revolution" in the air, only Palestinian can make things change. Not Israel, Not the International community. Islamist attempts to takeover whatever bit of land will ALWAYS result in death and misery. It is just connected with the way human life is looked upon by Islamist criminals : a cheap tool to achieve personal goals of egocentric individuals.
13. 7. Where, indeed? Food, medical services also cut down!!!
real help needed now ,   but no one's there   (06.13.07)
According to UNWRA's website, THREE OF FIVE among UNRWA’s Food Distribution centers and seven of UNRWA’s 18 health clinics were forced to close. This is one of the worst states UNWRA's been in for a long time. So where is everybody? Where are the people who claim to be so interested in Palestinian wellbeing?
14. U N
colin ,   israel   (06.13.07)
The true colours of UN now emerge. That they lost workers to the same gentle innocent polite quiet terrorists must be a blow because the UN cannot find a way to blame Israel.Let the UN ask the Peace Now movement to take thier place and continue delivering money to the terrorists to buy more guns.Thereafter there are more anti-israel organisations to call for help.

17. To #11
(06.13.07)
Yes, the UN caused this problem back in 1948 when it stole the land from the native Arabs and created Israel. Without the UN Israel would never have come into being, so in reality all Israelis owe a big debt of gratitude to the UN for creating the state of Israel. It's always funny to see Israelis get so angry over the UN, when without the UN Israel would not be a state!
18. #7 They are hiding in shame

The UN did not help in the creation of Israel. It was the League of Nations which in my opinion was created by Hashem for the sole purpose of keeping his word and bringing Jews back to their homeland. Since the League of Nations became the UN, it has been one of the most vile, dispicable, corrupt, fraudulant, ineffective institutions in the world. So no, Israel never has to be thankful to the UN. And if you think the creation of Israel to statehood in 1948 was a problem, than I suggest you take it up with Hashem. But you're gonna loose that argument.!!!@@@###^^^
21. president (§o§)abu mazen strongly denies....

22. #7 Rashid - Where are they?
Henry ,   USA   (06.13.07)
Everyone who is not a Gazan is staying away because you're shooting at them, Rashid !!! What do you expect.... But don't worry. They are still speaking out in your favor and against Israel. You Palestinians are still their favorite victims.
23. To those of you thinking that they can't blame Israel
Glenn ,   Canada   (06.13.07)
Think again. Because the spin hasn't changed. Today I listened to the CBC radio show The Current (available on the web). During one of the interviews, the executive director of the National Council on Canada-Arab Relations, managed to take control of the interview and spent most of her time describing the suffering of Palestinians at the hands of the Israelis, and blaming the current situation on the "root causes", that is the Israeli oppression of Palestinians. The inteviewer was of course sympathetic enough not to interrupt her or challenge her statements. The other guest on the program was an Arab correspondent for Reuters. Enough said.
24. Rashid, you are a funny guy :)

25. #4 - yes, a State of Chaos... wait! They already have it!

26. The UN - #17
klaus ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.13.07)
1) The UN gave arabs the greater part of the Mandate. the Jordanian side was the arab side while the Jews were on west side. The arabs: a) started the 1948 war by attacking Israel while unprovoked a) many fled to fight from neighboring countries b) many fought the Jews here c) Lost the war d) claimed the right to "return" after their defeat (sic) e) claimed to be the new "Palestinians" Since then, the UN has attacked Israel while it defends itself from the likes of the PREGNANT suicide bomber caught last month, apparently before her upcoming visit to her OBG. We don't respect the UN for that. You, of course, DO. Have a nice day
