1. the delusional Olmert
Marcel ,   Florida   (06.17.07)
The present situation reflects the unmitigated failure and disaster of the U.S. peace process. That Olmert continues to follow this path instead of removing the Hamas Fatah threat is not surprising. He also called his failure to defeat Hizbollah in Lebanon last year a victory. Olmert is truly a delusional man at the helm in Israel.
2. Olmert's brains have obviously been put through a blender

3. opportunity
geroge ,   thornhill   (06.17.07)
Olmert now discovers there is an opportunity with Fatah, so that he can give back the west bank; rockets will then fly into central israel and then he would say he is worried. There is no partner for peace because there is no room. Part of the Sinai and Jordan are needed to realistically provide for another state. There is nothing that Israel can give back save the whole of Israel that the arabs can negotiate.
4. WHAT A TRULY STUPID IDIOT
(06.17.07)
There is noone in paliland to whom any israeli can ever hope to reason with. abbas... haniyeh... errorfat (loved the looting of his former palace)... and any of those who lead missions to destroy israel... olmert is just mouthing off and israel must stay out of this paliwar.
5. ME 101: Fatah is the enemy
Ilan ,   Ariel   (06.17.07)
This is an inner squabble between two of Israel's bitter enemies: hamas and fatah. In all that relates to Israel and Jews their opinions are identical. The fighting weakens both, but the winner use their hatred of us as a rallying point. After having hundreds of citizens killed by Fatah and Tanzin you'd hope that Olmert and Bush would realize that.

i want to continueyour post .. life of the people must be improved in the west bank in gaza and in the out refugee camps in lebanon and jordan and serya // this to quiet the conflict but not to end the palastinians israili conflect // sure any palastinian leader must have a political regem to deal with israil but the life of the people is the most important //
7. to llan oh my nabougre
nofa ,   k haris   (06.17.07)
do you know where is the fault ,, the palastinian even he has little property and some power but he is depending first on himselfe not the other even he is fath or hamass or not this or that .. but look to the israili depending mainly on the other // international openion is important and also its support and its funds //// but the origion is the selfe defending its life // it is like the ant asking her friends to be away from the feet of king salamon and his armay // it is like a fly or a mosquitto bite the man .. and the man can not take again what the insects get from him // both are weak .. both depend onhimselfe first to struggle the life .. it is the rule of life my friend
8. Fatah is no peace partner
freejay ,   Israel   (06.17.07)
This delusional appeaser will do anything to retain his power. Saying we should make peace with the devil is suicidal. Olmert is a danger to Israels existane with his insistance on a peace deal with a non existarnt partner is only going to bring more disaster. Fatah want Israel destroyed as much as Hamass. Abass was saying just a few months ago to palestinians to stop killing eachother and point your guns at Israel!!!!!!!!!!!! How stupid is Olmert the appeaser?
9. Opportunity Is To Get Rid Of Fatah.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.17.07)
10. Olmert MUST be voted OUT !
moshe shen ,   k.motzkin, Israel   (06.17.07)
Peretz the clown replaced ... Olmert the inadequate is NEXT. Israel MUST tolerate leaders that make honest mistakes in judgement AFTER consulting with experts. Israel simply can NOT tolerate mediocrity or Olmert types. Olmert MUST be voted OUT ! moshe , Israel
11. 'opportunity' to forget about a Palesinian State
redmike ,   tel aviv   (06.17.07)
Mazen never stopped attacks against Israel when he had the power and also seeks the destruction of Israel and only his methods are different. There is no longer a necessity for passage between Gaza and the West Bank and things could not have worked out better for Israel. Let's keep it like that !! Treat the Palestinians in the West Bank well. Create jobs etc and allow them to build decent lives. Remove all motivation for a now unnecessary State.
12. Backing A Loser Like Abbas ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.17.07)
Pretty stupid strategy. Fatah is finished. Like Humpty-Dumpty, Fatah had a great fall, fell off a wall, & all the king's horses & all the kings men, couldn't put Fatah back together again. Even a child's nursery rhyme makes more sense than Olmert.
13. Abbas no peace partner without changing education system and
Rachel ,   Zikhron Yaakov   (06.17.07)
removing roving gangs of rapists, extortionists and thugs from streets of West Bank. Then maybe we have someone to talk to.
14. hollywood's new movie
robert morley ,   usa   (06.17.07)
hollywood's new movie staring George Bush and Ehud Olmert in dumb and dumber part 3 land for peace its all about two leaders that believe by kissing the enemies a$$ peace can be achieved i give this movie a zero , neither should be given the lead roll and the peace efforts wtih fail , nobody wants peace with israel except though blood shed, may israel never be divide, and may the lord forever stand watch over jerusalem.
15. OLMERT ONE DAY IN UR LIFE TRY TO THINK.FATAH IS TERROR
(06.17.07)

Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.17.07)
I agree that we should forget about a Palestinian state on the West Bank. But, the best solution is some arrangement with Jordan. Trying to prop-up Fatah is the worse option - which, of course, our brain-dead leaders seem to have chosen. Following American advice will be as successful as the American policy in Iraq. While any deal with Arabs is inherently risky, the Jordanian option has a higher chance of success than anything else. They have as much interest as we do in making it work. I think many Palestinians might support the idea as well provided we get rid of Fatah & not allow them to further block progress. Fatah has always been the major problem - thinking that this bunch of terrorists, thieves, & thugs would achieve anything constructive was the underlying mistake of Oslo.
17. Before Hamas there was Fatah
Ben Wolf ,   NYC USA   (06.17.07)
Both are terrorist organizations pledged to destroy Israel. How can Olmert forget that before the election Hamas won, Fatah was the unsuitable partner for peace? As long as the incitement continues in mosques, schools, media, and government, there will be no peace.
18. Olmert the Insane
Ran ,   London   (06.17.07)
He's beyond help
19. Opportunity to get rid of Olmert! VOTE FEIGLIN
Shlomo W ,   Woodmere, NY   (06.17.07)
20. Palestian State, IMPOSSIBILITY.
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.17.07)
After every tragedy revealing disastrous mistakes would lead normal people to inevitable conclusions about the nature of the enemy. Not post-Zionists and anti-Semites, they are so obsessed with an unattainable two-state solution, to give clear and obvious falsehood legitimacy, and ensure that the actualization of Jewish rights are blocked by the world community, at all costs. The Palestinians will never have a State, because that is not their goal, their goal (even moderates) are the removal of Israel and the spiritual annihilation of Jewish spiritual supremacy, which is and has always been the only serious threat to inherited false Islamic doctrine.
21. Hamas = Fatah = Jihad = Hizbollah = etc = Amalek!
Uzi ,   Haifa   (06.17.07)
They are all one and the same; filthy murderers promoting a ficticious national liberation cause. There has never been a distinct nation of the Western Palestine Arabs who are an artificial sub-set of Greater Palestine Arabs. Palestine died in May 1948, at the tender age of 30, leaving two heirs; Israel and Transjordan which later converted into the Kingdom of Jordan. At the same time Egypt grabbed the Gaza Strip. The only viable nation state of all Greater Palestine Arabs is the Kingdom of Jordan which is in peace with Israel. Jordan and Israel can agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and cede Gaza to Egypt.
