1. Let them....
kristian ,   sweden   (06.17.07)
Let them stay in Gaza, They keep telling the world they hate Israel and the Jews. So why try to help ? Do you think they will be forever grateful to you....NO. They will stab you in the back at the first opportunity...Palestinians are brought up on hatred, maybe it is time for them to feel how it feels to be hated back. Send them back to the hell they have created. Gazans are NOT the responsability of Israel. Gaza is a free and democratic part of the so called Palestine.
2. Grow like an onion Shula
Ilan ,   Ariel   (06.17.07)
I don't notice Aloni taking any responsibility for bringing over the gangsters from Tunisia. She merely sees this crisis as a means of causing even more damage. She is worse than an ostrich with her head in the ground since the ostrich has a possibility for taking it's head out of the ground in the future. shtik fleysh mit oygn.
3. YES!
EM ,   Ra'anana   (06.17.07)
You are so right! If only the people who decide will follow your advice. But I'm afraid that we are closer to fufilling Abba Eban's characterization of the Arabs..."not missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity".
4. Erez crossing should
Arnon   (06.17.07)
be opened especially for Ms. Aloni, with a one way ticket and your passport confiscated.
5. Who else but Shulamit would come out of her rats nest ?
malcolm   (06.17.07)
Now the darling of the self loathing Jewish Jew haters worldwide slithers out of her hole to preach to Israel & the world about how Jews must deal with Arab terror, Gaza and the Land of Israel. Her wonderful proposal even includes ceding Jewish land for a new Palestinian refuge camp, tents and all on the Israeli side of the border. Fortunately for Shulamit she lives in a Jewish democracy. Had she been born an Arab her own people would have slit her throat a long time ago.
6. "Stew in their own juice"
Concerned Israeli ,   Sderot   (06.17.07)
YES! Rather than they stew among the Jews.
7. Unbelieveable
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (06.17.07)
What a moron. Let Terrorists into Israel? Thank you but no. How about letting these Palestinians cross into Egypt, so they can get aid from their Muslim brothers?
8. sholamit aloni
natcho ,   Italy   (06.17.07)
you are too kind to your enemies. you forget who fatah are and their past atrocities. let them slaughter each other and there will be fewer to kill Jews. Egypt could have stopped the arms smuggling. what country at war for its exsitence still provides water, electricity, telephone service and food to people who want to destroy it? you folks are either stupid or crazy with your sympathy. In the long run between the clash of Islam against the world you will not survive. your are soft - and they are willing to go all the way!! and do whatever it takes including killing all the moderates in their midst and scaring the rest into following their extremists. your sympathy is used agaist you. there is no "political" solution - only when you are "dhimmi" (those that survive) the other side will be satiated.
9. Looks Like Ynet Rounded Up All Fools Today.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.17.07)
How many bleeding heart BS'ers have you dug up since the Gaza crazies took over? I count about ten different articles, all crying for Palestinians & their self-inflicted misery. I didn't notice this many articles about Sderot residents nor about our gov't's failure to help evicted settlers from Gaza. Evidently, tears are only for our enemies, people who wish us dead. At least be balanced especially considering that most of your readers don't support these positions. Is this an effort to brainwash us with all this syrupy sweet sympathy for our nasty neighbors? They don't deserve our sympathy in any way. Trust me, if the shoe were on the other foot, they would not help us. And don't expect any gratitude either - they see our humaneness as weakness to be exploited - it actually makes them hate us more (if that's possible).
10. Moronic left wingers want to give away more land
freejay ,   Israel   (06.17.07)
11. LET THEM FLEE BACK TO EGYPT!!!!!
Ben Yisrael ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.17.07)
12. When wass this woman released?
Sane Individual ,   EUROPE   (06.17.07)
Please put her back in her padded cell. Preferably in Gaza.
13. WHY RUN TO ISRAEL, RUN TO OTHER ARABS IN EGYPT
david ,   usa   (06.17.07)
14. They just don't get it
Nemesis   (06.17.07)
People like Aloni never seem to learn. The pals HATE Israel, except when they need something. "Open a refugee camp on the Israeli side???".What, another one? If they're let in,sure enough, once they feel safe and sound,it'll start up again..pretty soon you'll have half of Gaza in the WB..I don't know what to say..can't believe these bleeding hearts can be so naive.
15. i love israil believe me
rashid ,   palistinian   (06.17.07)
we need to help the palistinians, did i mention already that i love israil
16. Dumb Jews bleeding for the Pali Arabs while the Arab regimes
Scott ,   USA   (06.17.07)
could not care less.
17. One exception
One exeception ,   USA   (06.17.07)
Normally I disagree with eveything that Shulamit Aloni says. However, I would allow carefully screened Gazans escorted passage to the West Bank. Since Hamas got the weapons for its conquest from Egypt, let them now get food, water, etc from Egypt. In exchange for "humanitarian aid" Israel would get rockets over Sderot.
18. Why do Leftists treat Arabs as Less than Humans?
Joe   (06.17.07)
For some reason, Leftists regard Arabs as not capable of being responsible for their own choices. Even murderers are excused by Leftists (as long as they're Arab). The Arabs in the PA overwhelmingly voted for Hamas take power. As long as Leftists continue treating Arabs as not being human enough to accept responsibility for their own choices, this pattern will continue.
19. No time for jokes
Amir ,   Beer Sheva   (06.17.07)
Situation is critical in Beer Sheva. Muslems are moving into the town, even some invaders from Sudan. All crossings must be closed. If she wants these Arabs start to kill more Jews let them build a camp for them in Ramat Aviv. How many Sudanese were taken to Ramat Aviv ? Let Egypt and Iran provide food and weapons for them not Israel. Now, when EU soldiers had run away like small rats, the time is for Iran, saudi Arabia, and Egypt help the Arabs. There is no time for crazy ideas of Meretz.
20. Joe#18 is right-- it would be patronizing.
Márcia ,   Brazil   (06.17.07)
21. NO
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (06.17.07)
The only place we should help them go is to Jordan. Otherwise no help. They rocket us they bomb our children, they threaten our right to have a country. NO WAY. You know the only way to destroy fanitism is to shock it . That was what happened to the Japanese in 1945 and it stoped the war. A few years without help from Israel for power food and water will destroy their fanatism. We have no obligation to help them legal or otherwise.
22. DONT DO IT - keep it closed
jack bauer ,   usa   (06.17.07)
there is no need to bring more of these problems along into Judea/Samaria from the hellhole the gaza has become
23. SEND SHULI & MERETZ TO GAZA! GO HELP THEM, SHULI!
Moshe Doron ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.18.07)
Shuli just talks, as usual. As with every mishuga, every one of her topics ends with "settlers" & "Kach" & Jewish extremists. Kach directed Hamas to take over Gaza, right Shuli? Did you take your pill this morning? Look, people, what what in charge of Israeli Children's education!
24. The idiotic Left, even Egypt won't do that
David Teich ,   Rehovot   (06.18.07)
Egypt could have let hundreds of Fatah supporters who fled to Sinai continue to Jordan and then the WB. Egypt sent them back to Gaza -- where they belong. If their Arab brethren who supposedly agree with them won't assist, why in the world should Israel? Fatah still has a charter calling for Israel's destruction and Abbas never did one thing to move forward on the RM or to stop Kassam launches. They are at war with us and we don't owe them anything. We have a responsibility to our own people, not to Aloni's ignorant mind set.
25. to rashid
rahmeh ,   jerusalem   (06.18.07)
want to help or need benifits from helping // i think this is a policy more than a human help .. and in helping the result will be okey .it is not more than helping ... but in policy you cant expect the right always // and this is the state of israil many openiones were not effective with opposit results .. so when you have many choices do not know what is the good not the perfect // you may be failed more than to succeed // it is the evil to help for the benifits of the selfe only .. if you want to help ,, help for helping only for god sake ..
26. 4 In a way those that agree should take their money and
freedom ,   canada   (06.18.07)
their generousity and go to GAZA and help out first hand. Nothing like calling a left wing liberal on their bluff. They do say, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.. So all you left wingers go for it..
27. 16 It would seem Scott there is some truth for sure
freedom ,   canada   (06.18.07)
in regards to your statement. Witness the dictator from Libya, I think he did say something to that effect.
28. Wrong direction
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.18.07)
We need to have more of the Fatah in Gaza not Judea and Samaria!
29. Why Israel's government permits Fatah to leave Gaza
Al ,   LA, USA   (06.18.07)
I was told by a Christian Arab (not the fake one like General Abu Zadeh) that Olmert, Beilin, Peres, Aloni, Rabbis for human rights, etc. think that Fatah will be reciprocal and will alow them and their families to leave Israel when the Fatah will be on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. What is clear that West Bank will be also ruled by gangs that will be able to kill more Jews (hence gain more respect), Hamas or Fatah; the strongest, most brutal will rule.
30. Let's open the Rafah Terminal instead!!
