31. People Just Do Not Learn
Asher ,   Yerushalim   (06.18.07)
If people want to leave Gaza, let them go to Egypt, Jordon or where ever. What is with these politicians that have to think they are better than G-d. Besides, how does he know who is Hamas or Fatah? These people voted for Hamas. PERIOD. Friedman, clean up the filth in your own backyard
32. Let them go
Joseph ,   New Jersey   (06.18.07)
Let them go live in any Arab country among their brothers arab muslims. There they can safely live and freely exercise their religion. More over those Arabs from Gaza, Judea and Samaria who relocate to the other Arab countries won't need billions of welfare handouts from USA, Europe and UN.
33. Fatah Supporters escaping to WB
Vicky ,   Ashkelon, Israel   (06.18.07)
They should be allowed, but not by themselves. Special coaches should be laid on for them. Otherwise they could be Hamass terrorists in disguise, ready to blow up buses, etc.
34. Dear Irracional,
klaus ,   Jerusalem   (06.18.07)
Let's look at your suggestions: >I am surprised with the level of hatred of the israelis against the palestinians. Don't be - We understand that palestinians who cheer after suicide bombing are not our friends regardless of voting for fatah or hamass. >Many claim palestinians vote for hamas , therefore they should be prevented from fleeing Gaza. No - They are our enemies, who have a strong desire to annihilate our people regardless of which terror organization they vote for. >If one does use the same logic back in the 30s German Jews should be prevented from fleeing Hitler Germany because after all , germans did vote to put in power the nazis. You must be aware that this is ridiculous, as the Jews as a group did NOT vote hitler into power, yet the arabs voted hamas in. >This argument makes no sense. Not all pali vote Hamas, got it? They all want us dead - therfore they are all our enemies - therefore we should not feed them any more than the US or UK or Russia would supply Germany with water during the World War, Got it? > Hamas DID NOT had 100% votes in Gaza so the argument pli should be prevented from fleeing since they vote hamas is false. 1) Arabs in Gaza are our mortal enemies and should NOT be assisted in ANY way; 2) Israeli security, including keeping additional arabs out of Judea & Samaria is more important than saving our murderers. >Hate will not benefit israel. Evidently, that is why you have it. BTW, Luv your name!

36. Ironic situation
Patricia ,   Waipahu, Hawaii, USA   (06.18.07)
I find it ironic that these people who blame Israel for all their problems, have set silently by while their leaders promote the unconditional destruction of Israel , now seek humanitarian assistance from Isreal for a condition of their own making. While not 100% may have voted for Hamas, where were their voices prior to this tragic situation? Did anyone hear dissent? Could they have not imagined this outcome? I do feel sorry for those people stuck between Israel and Gaza, that walkway does not appear safe or a place where they can remain long without some help. I have always believed that what separates Israel from the Palestinians is a basic humanity. I do feel that bringing these people some food and water would be appropriate, then try and get them into a country they do not express a wish to destroy.

39. A leftist is telling the government what to do?
Boaz ,   Jerusalem   (06.19.07)
'The State of Israel must ease their passage, as long as they are not Hamas members or people jeopardizing our security' The Palestinians have never eased the passage of the Jews in their territories and have always met us (Jews) with stones, fire bombs and shootings resulting in cold blooded murder.
40. Why should we help our enemies? MeAm Lo'ez says:
Boaz ,   Jerusalem   (06.19.07)
B'midbar II, 20:22-24, Pg 96. "This is in keeping with the general rule that one is inevitable harmed by associating with the wicked. Thus we find it recorded in the book of Kings (I Kings 22) that when Yehoshaphat, King of Judea, formed a military alliance with King Ahab of Israel, G-d was angry and punished him: 'yehu the son of Chanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Yehoshaphat, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate G-d? Therefore, wrath has come upon you from before G-d" (2 Chron 19:2). Similary, when he allied himself with Ahaziyu, G-d destroyed what he has accomplished. The prophet said to him, "Because you have joined yourself to Ahaziyu, G-d will destroy what you have done" (2 Chron 20:37). Every agreement and move Israel has made toward/with the Palestinians (Oslo, Oslo II, wye, Hebron, Road map, Interim Agreements, elections, disengagement, etc) have failed as per the quote above. Why does Prof Freidman think his kindness toward evil will succeed?
41. What are these failed agreements that Freidman ignors?
