31. A 1-state solution ?
Iossef ,   J'lem   (06.20.07)
There will never be 2 states between the Jordan and the mediteranean sea. There is just enough space and boundaries for only 1 state. Will it be arab or jewish ? That is the question.
32. Shut Up, George! This Is Not The US.
emanon ,   USA   (06.20.07)
Israel is not part of the US. Aside from that, Bush's policies are screwing up the Middle East. Look at all the help he's brought to Iraq . . .
33. don´t blame the americans emanon
Shir ,   Finland   (06.20.07)
When Saddam ruled the country, more than a MILLION people were killed. They were killed in silence and nobody really talked about that. Now that the americans are there, yes, people do die. But it is NOTHING compared to what happened there during the the late 1980´s and 1990´s. What is going on there right now, is that terrorist from Saudi-Arabia, Yemen and immidiate neighbour states are flowing there. 75% of the suicidebombers in Iraq are saudis. Very few are iraqis. So it is not the americans´ fault what is going on there. Unfortunately the current iraqi government is too weak to handle the situation. I hope americans will use more efficient military power to solve the situation. My english is a little limited in forming sentences etc. But I hope I made myself clear on this one.
34. shir #33 Not only your english is limited
Keren ,   SP-Israel   (06.20.07)

35. secular ..finally
Fadi ,   beirut   (06.20.07)
olmert will help abbas militarily ..that is what he said in the press conference in America .. the gentlman is not stupid ..he is trying to discredit Abbas on the spot .. how is the palestinians would look at that ....Abbas is a traitor ...it would look like in the eyes of the arabs /muslims .. any election (democratic of course ..) in syria, jordan, lebanon, egypt will bring a (hamas-like) goverment .. the behavior of israel vis-a-vis secular fateh last week in palestine is a sound proof that israel is supporting the regime in those countries .... a proof for the young generation who were not born yet at that time . now it all make sense .
36. Dear Wissim-
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (06.20.07)
There is not now nor has there ever been a Palestinian nation or country. The majority of Arabs of Eretz Yisroel seeped into this country over the last few centuries from other Arab countries. Throughout, most Arabs here considered themselves part of the larger Pan-Arab nation and not as a separate entity. Only since their neighboring "brother" nations - Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon - blocked them out and made them into refugees, was the idea of an independent Palestinian people born. Basically, they are just Arabs like all others with the same culture, religion and language. Any differences are nuances.
37. Are these "leader" for real? Do any of them think?
elianna ,   USA   (06.20.07)
38. Get rid of Olmert and Livni before they give away Israel
elianna ,   USA   (06.20.07)
39. #36 Reuven Rewrites History
Wissam ,   Palestine   (06.20.07)
"The majority of Arabs of Eretz Yisroel seeped into this country over the last few centuries from other Arab countries. " In contrast, the 95% of Jews in israel today are descendents of the very people who immigrated here from Europe, illegally, in the period 1930-1948 while my own ancestors were subject to a genocide which continues to this day. For your info, Palestinians are descendents of Arabs, Jews, Europeans, Africans, Persians, Canaanites, etc. Our genetic "markers" were recently studies and it was confirmed that we are indigenes to this land, owing to our proximity to neighboring civilizations. Swollow your pride Reuben, you're an alien, a tresspasser, a detail in Palestinian history. Your fate is the same as the Crusaders', to be shoved into the bin of history soon.
40. #26 Wissam, who attacked who in 48?
Kissel   (06.20.07)
41. #33 you Missed My Point
emanon ,   USA   (06.20.07)
Israel is a separate country from the US. Bush has no business telling Israel what to do. This is the equivalent of Bush dictating foreign policy to your government. Exacerbating ("making things worse" for the non-native English speakers) this arrogant position is the fact Bush's foreign policies have been, and are, a disaster. I hope I made *myself* clear.
42. 2 states?, lets be real
Ya'acov ,   USA   (06.23.07)
First we need to recognize that the Palestinians are just puppets. They were a part of a coy move by the Islamic states to create sympathy from the rest of the world shloud their "67 attack on Israel fail, which it did. They told the Palestinians to move out before they attacked. It is their fault, not Israels' that they now have no homeland. Israel was; prior to 67 content to allow the Palestinians to live and work within their system. Second: to address #38; Although i agree that Pres. Bush's plans are not in Israel's best interest, I would remind you that our choice for Pres. was limited to someone who was a pacifist liberal who would have sold out Israel long ago, and a wishy washy Pres. who allows himself to be duped into believing that Israel can survive by allowing her enemies to thrive. What the U.S. really needs now is a 3rd party Pres. who is in touch with the real causes of these problems and is willing to recognize Israel as our only real friend it has left in the world. We need American citizens to pull their heads out of that dark spot in their posterior and see things for what the actually are.
