listen to diskin. nice ring to that: we listenin' to diskin, not takin' no riskin'. yo.
2. Strong?
Peter ,   Tel Aviv   (06.24.07)
America makes Israel strong. If Israel is strong it would have made peace with the Arab world. Every fight it picks - it looses heavily. Lebanon last summer - just the last example. Israel will only be strong if it makes peace.
3. Olmert get out of here!
Concerned Israeli   (06.24.07)
We HAVE been strong enough to take risks, but any more risks like the risks we've taken in the past and we'll bring about our own destruction. We're strong, but we're not invincible. We need to get that egotistical maniac out of the PM's seat quickly before it's too late.
4. Glad to hear that Olmert feels
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (06.24.07)
strong enough to take a risk. I hope that means he plans on putting on body armor and grabbing a rifle when his policy succeeds like the previous ones have
5. OLMERT GOV. "RISKING" JEWISH LIVES TO APPEASE TERRORISTS
David P ,   Central Coast, USA   (06.24.07)
Time for Israel to prepare for war, not compromise security establishment.
6. The only risk Israel is not strong enough to take....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (06.24.07)
Is this pathetic excuse for a Prime Minister. He is ruining this country. He's ready to lavish Fatah with money and arms, with no plan for the eventuality of Fatah's failure to govern, with their history of corruption, incompetance and terror, albeit secular corruption, incompetence and terror.
7. #2 - compare Isarael now with 48, 67 and 73
redmike ,   tel aviv   (06.24.07)
Israel has never been stronger ! Militarily, economically and in every way. it's hard for any country to fight against guerrillas that hide amongst the civilian population but which 'country' in the Middle East could defeat Israel in a war ? None! Syria for example wouldn't last 24 hours and it knows it. Funny ideas you have - bad ass weed perhaps - Mike
8. Olmert is a clown
Frank ,   Canada   (06.24.07)
The point is not to be strong enough to take risk. The point is why take risk in the current situation. What will be the result of this action? What benefits? The conclusion of this risk taking is well know: more terror.
9. Wrong #7
Future1   (06.24.07)
Israel is not strong when it is run by timid rulers and leaders. Israel needs aggressive military tactics and CANNOT survive by wondering what the leftist world community thinks. The tragic Yom Kippur war in 73 could have been avoided if Golda did a preemptive strike...but no she didnt want the world to think Israel was a bully.
10. WHO TAKES RISK OLMERT THE CRIMINAL ? THE ISRAELIS NOT YOU !!
(06.24.07)
11. If you attack hamas, i'm gonna write another nasty book!!!!
Jimmah Carter ,   usa   (06.24.07)
12. Hamas plans to attempt a suicide attack . . .
Marcell   (06.25.07)
NAH! YOU DON'T SAY!!!!! Here's a thought: Hamas can use the funds we are transferring to their brothers and partners Fatah to equip their suicide bombers with hi-tech explosives and pay their widows/mothers handsome rewards upon their "retirement" . . . and the weapons we will supply to Fatah will help Hamas to resist the IDF in the West Bank, so be careful, Diskin, who you send in to gather your earth-shaking intel. Maybe you should send Olmert.
13. Olmert taking risks
Gary Tomasch ,   Pt. Orchard, USA   (06.25.07)
Olmert just needs to cut the country into 4 parts and give one pt. to Hamastan, one pt to Mazan, one to Hisbully, and one pt. to Iran. This is one way that shows he can take risks. What, is he crazy, has Israel gone to sleep. What is going on over there, do you really want to keep your country or give it away a little at a time when some Arab says "give us some More and More and More and..."
