The airport with too many 'eyes' looking at you. Made with plentiful of checks, you just feel that you are no closer to heaven doors ...
7. #3 Try Heathrow for racist rudeness
mary poppins   (06.27.07)
BUT they get the job done. Like we do here, only there, you wouldn't dare call them rude racists would you, dear John. You'd get all sweet and polite and sickeningly ingratiating...

9. Special Room at Airport for ISM types
harry ,   Vancouver Canada   (06.28.07)
There's now a special room set aside at Ben Gurion for ISM types who get caught lying to Israel immigration about the true reason for their visit...which is of course, to make trouble and then hide behind their foreign passports. It's a small & dark room & has a very leaky toilet.

are you by any chance talking from personal experience? all said and done, our "eyes" system is 100% effective. considering we are the number one target of the islamic world, there has never been an el al or any other plane that was hijacked from israeli territory. i don't give a hoot about how rude, or how inconvenient it is for me at any airport as long as they guarantee me and my family a safe trip home.

So what 's your point?
13. #10 - you wrote as a deluded fool
threat hunter ,   eisham, israel   (07.30.07)
you are either heavily intoxicated and forgetful, ignorant or just dumb. you actually wrote: "all said and done, our "eyes" system is 100% effective. considering we are the number one target of the islamic world, there has never been an el al or any other plane that was hijacked from israeli territory." have you never heard of entebbe? 1976. an air france plane was hijacked from ben gurion airport and only thanks to an amazing rescue operation did it end as well as it did, excepting of course the casualties, including yonatan netanyahu, the operational commander on the ground. furthermore, you actually wrote: "i don't give a hoot about how rude, or how inconvenient it is for me at any airport as long as they guarantee me and my family a safe trip home. " that's all nice to think to yourself, except if you believe that anyone can guarantee your safe passage on a flight these days, then i have some beach front property to sell you in south dakota. guarantees, especially when it comes to security threats, are nothing more than words. the only reason to put up with all the security checks, is for the * probability * that your travel will be safe and sound. the reason israel has had so much success at defeating its enemies, is not because we are so amazing. it is because our enemies are even more incompetent than us.
14. #13: No need to be rude on the subject
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (09.07.07)
"deluded fool"?? my, my. I guess that there are many "deluded fools" in Israel then, but if you remember Entebbe that was an Air Farce airline, NOT El-Al, and it was NOT hijaked in Israel. So who's the "deluded fool" now, eh? Airport security is a black magic art and while cannot be "guaranteed", it can be reduced to statistical insignificance by applying teh right measure - no only words as you foolishly and gratuitously claim - Mr. Security Expert. So yes, Israel has reduced its own planes hijacking to statistical nothingness (ZERO!) while planse continue to be hijaked everywhere else. Your own attitude of dismising the will and creativity of our enemies is foolish and irresponsible. Israel has gained the upper hand by NOT underestimating its enemies. So no, security is not only "words" and we are not simply "lucky". It is a good mix of thge right methods and bit of luck, but definitely not only luck as you suggest. ANd you cannot mask your total ignorance by being a rude bully either.
15. A trip to hate non-Jews?
Aaron Humes ,   Newark, NJ   (09.07.07)
Don't bet on it. We're here to learn from demonstrated professionals the art of survival. Your remarks insult and hardly measure up to the extremely wonderful trip made possible by our hosts.
16. #13=wrong about Entebbe. Plane was hyjacked in Athens
(09.15.07)
#13 wrote: "have you never heard of entebbe? 1976. an air france plane was hijacked from ben gurion airport " Not correct. The flight originated at Ben Gurion Airport, but the terrorist boarded the plane in Athens.
17. Will never work in the u.s.
Kim ,   united states   (10.02.07)
Most americans are lazy a$$-holes who do not care about doing their jobs well and who will put as little effort into their jobs as possible. That, compounded by the fact that TSA (american airport security) are minimum wage workers who don't even care if they do their job as long as they are paid. I was in Israel this summer and was VERY impressed with the security measures and the professionalism of the security staff. They take pride in their jobs knowing they are keeping Israel (and tourists) safe from terrorists. Unfortunately the lazy uncaring attitude of americans will make any effort they made to see Israel's top rate security fruitless when they return to the states. Israel security is top rate - america security sucks.
