1. Now it's an IDF source blaming "the situation in Gaza"
Tracy W   (06.27.07)
for their aggression? I quote: "Many gunmen, said the sources, were acting on their frustration from the situation in Gaza, which may explain "the fierce fighting we've encountered, which was more intense than usual." It must have been a Leftist Israeli IDF source, because this "blaming the situation" has no place when dealing with people who elected and got the government they wanted. This blaming the situation has resulted in a culture of victimhood that has kept a whole population unable to face the consequences of their actions. It's always something or someone else's fault. And the Left has been fully complicit in this process.
2. thanks G-d for the gunmen's frustration
jihadist   (06.27.07)
3. khat - is there a breathalyzer for it?
(06.27.07)
"fierce fighting", "more intense than usual". I wonder if they've brought in that khat that they chew in Mogidishu for the "gunmen" in Gaza? Maybe that explains their rabid behavior more than "fustration from the situation in Gaza."
4. Tracy W: IDF aggression?
Caroline ,   London   (06.27.07)
The IDF is preventing terror attacks form happening daily in israel if the terrorists would have their way.as far as I am concerned the IDF is not forceful enough. I guess if a bomb explodes in Tel Aviv then you would blame israel?the left?the right?the teenagers who died? get real
5. THe Lebanese Army is doing the same thing to Pal. terrorists
Don't blame the IDF ,   USA   (06.27.07)
Terrorists always hold their own people captive to their greed, fanaticism, and self-destructive agendas. Palestinian terrorists must be rooted out of the civilian population, whether its the IDF in Gaza or the Lebanese Army in south Lebanon.
6. NO APOLOGIES NEEDED!
(06.27.07)
We are fighting terrorists.

you are carrying . He wants to be a mytar or what do you call it . Let him stand and shield his hammas fathers and go to his early grave fool.
8. #4 - Caroline - it should have said "Palestinian aggression"
Tracy W   (06.27.07)
Just a case of poor grammar on my part. My apologies. I need to be more careful. One word changes the whole meaning of the sentence. Although you can tell by the context that I'm not blaming the IDF. On the contrary. They are heroes.
9. Prevent more abductions, you go IDF!

14. To Dr. John Maxwell: Right On
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. Ca usa   (06.27.07)
Yes indeed, Israel is far too introspective, and deems it necessary to answer for all it's actions..not to exclude Arab allegations. I mean, can we all imagine if the US responded to every insurgent remark? Israel has been wrong from the state, and things are getting worse. When will Israel wake up I ask? It should stop being defensive. What more can I say..sometimes it seems hopeless. Israel needs a Ben-Gurion, or Shamir or Begin type to run the country. Essentially ruthless, no apologies. If the PALs had tanks...guess what?
15. #10 - If the caption does not say it, it's a file photo.

correct!
17. Special Envoy Mr. Tony Blair Should Push For A Change.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (06.27.07)
"... their frustration from the situation in Gaza, ...". THE newly appointed Middle East Envoy, Mr. Tony Blair, should push for a change of mentality of the Gazan and West Bank Arabs. THAT change WILL be accomplished by pushing the P.A. in West Bank and Hamas in Gaza to change the Text Books used in the Elementary -, Secondary - and High Schools, and Universities : all the hate inciting texts against Jews or Israelis SHOULD be taken out -- and replaced with texts which NURTURES love and friendliness towards Jews or Israelis. IF Middle East Envoy, Mr. Tony Blair, can convince the P.A. and Hamas to take ACTION, and accomplish the abovementioned changes in the Text Books within ONE year -- than we can be certain that within 10 years there WILL be a different kind of Arabs living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. A more civilized and educated ones. BTW in the meantime the IDF SHOULD continue, in response to the Kassam or other attacks from the Arabs against Israel, to give a military response to those attacks.
18. that sounds just great
Vorax   (06.27.07)
"..operation, said the military, was not unusual, and does not indicate any change in IDF policy.." ..just keep it this way guys, and take care..
19. Misprint!

GAZA GUNMEN FIGHT IDF OUT OF STUPIDITY.
20. #11, 14 - No need to apologize but it's necessary to explain
Otter ,   Canada   (06.27.07)
again and again because if you don't, then the public is getting only one side of the issue. It's extremely important to go beyond explaining and become pro-active by exposing the lies, the violence, the intrigues on the part of the enemies, whether they are the aggressors against Israel or their apologists among the Lefties and the "well-meaning" and misinformed public. Israel is extremely defficient when it comes to their public relations and it's always on the defensive. Much of their public relations work is done by volunteers among Israel's friends, with their research and excellent websites and organizations. Even many talkbackers here do their part by sharing information and clarifying issues.
