33. and when did half of the world peoples had countries
(07.09.07)
with the same name and same boundaries as in the present time. Those peoples are still in their counteries (lands). For the first time in history a people of millions was expelled from His land. Whether this land is a "no country" or those people has "no name" that People are still expelled outside.

First time? Look up "Kingdom of Israel" in Wikipedia. Then research the two dispersions of the Jews from this land in the 6th century BCE, and again in the first century CE, as well as the very many other nations that have been disbursed from their lands by the Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Persians, Mesopatamians, Nabateans, etc. etc. Where do you get this stuff from, "first time"? Where do you get this "half the world" stuff? And, given that the PA estimates of their population in the WB and Gaza is 4 million people, with another 2 million Palis in Israel, just what do you define as "expelled"?
36. Golan Springs were a gift from Syria
Magnades ,   Madison Hts Mi, USA   (07.10.07)
The Golan heights and its springs were gifts presented to Israel via columns of tanks meant to destroy. I think it rather rude that they are asking for these things back now. The Syrians need a lesson in manners -----obviously.
37. #35 Shai, thanks for your comments

It's refreshing to read an intelligent comment from an (obviously) well read, well spoken person who has done their homework and has relied on well known & published historical FACTS!!! Again, thank you.

Your comments are correct..and Israeli's are as usual, defending their theft of water...it's what they've always done...

41. number 7
NF ,   Australia   (07.12.07)
Thats rubbish! its israel's selfish, greedy nature that makes you think Golan heights belongs to them......its the whole "i took it now its mine.." argument -it was never theirs to take.
42. For Ariya
NF ,   Australia   (07.12.07)
Why don't you just exterminate the arabs? that sounds like every israeli's dream. And as usual, An Israeli thinking about how to make money...and save money....typical! I'll tell you something about arabs, they are strong and they are resilient and they will continue to fight for their rights ...so bring out your big guns....they will keep on fighting and they'll have the oil.....deal with it.
43. For Alan, SA
NF ,   Australia   (07.12.07)
There is no need to be rude. Every person in this group has opinions and has experiences to back up what they say and everyone here has their own knowledge and their own understanding of history. If you're going to discuss or debate then it would be nice to have some manners. Everyone gives their opinion with the certainty that they are right. No one is right coz there are too many factors and too many different backgrounds to take into consideration. Just have the decency to realise that and respect Mohammad for at least voicing his opinion in an environment which i see is mostly israeli. Even if you and others don't agree with it. Same statement goes to Mohd.
44. Ynet is EXPERT of self-hate to raise a non-issue
chaya ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (07.12.07)
to be a pretext for Syrian excuses to attack Israel. This article is so filled with self-hatred that author Amir Ben-David ignores that there are Druze on the Golan who are EXPORTING their apples - whose trees ABSORB this beautiful water - back to SYRIA!!! Moses more than 3,300 years ago conquered the "Bashan" - which is today's Golan, and the Tribe of Menasseh lived there for hundreds of years until near the destruction of the First Temple. "exploitation of water resources" - does Amir Ben-David drink Israeli water, thereby exploiting it??? Who are you, YNET?
