The middle-east is very different from europe and Jews (being strong as you imply) can be part of the "gathering storm". Jews and arabs and even muslims once formed confederate alliances in which they cooperated militarily and economically in the middle-east, .e.g. the Jews of yemen. Being strong AND being able to form alliances with your arab/muslim neighbors either as states or clans is essential. this is the middle-east in 2007 and not 1938 Germany - different game, different rules.
