IMHO, there will never, ever be peace between Israel and the PA. War, Destruction and Handouts are the only Pali industries from which a few make a great living and on which the rest survive. Take away all of that, and one of two things will happen: Most Palis will starve or Israel will end up paying through the nose to keep them alive. Arafat knew it, Haniyeh knows it, Abbas knows it and I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people in Isreal, too, know it. If Abbas really wanted peace, why is there no change in the way the Fatah asshats operate? More than likely, because a) that's all they know how to do and b) if they didn't create messes, the money spigots would get turned off, and then what?
