Time and time again, "Prof" Bligh states that Hawatmeh's origins are in Jordan. Okay, let's have a long list of the origins of Israeli politicians: USA, UK, France, Russian Federation, etc, etc.
The thrust of Bligh's article simply seems to be an effort to undermine Hawatmeh's credibility as a Palestinian. So sad, and so sick - and part of this pathetic and déclassé attempt to prove that Palestinians are not actually Palestinians.
Let's just say that if London-, New York- or Moscow-born people can be Israelis, then a man born in Salt can identify himself with Palestinians. The very fact that he has been a leading Paestlinian politician for forty years, and Bligh, who refers to Olmert's "spinmeisters" (which I suppose is a slur on his PR people, as calling them by a German name is considered beyond the pale in Israel - particularly when we have a perfectly good English term "spinmaster" or "spindoctor") is flogging a dead horse in this outmoded and sophomoric attempt to imply that a Palestinian politician is in fact no a Palestinian politician.
This "Palestinian is a myth" ideology is in fact a symptom of a deep and incurable pathological condition: denial of the truth, and rings just about as hollow and ill-educated as holocaust denial.
As for Prof Bligh's credentials "Israeli and Mideastern Politicas in the College of Judea and Samaria" - I guess that to have tenure in the fictitious zones of Judea and Samaria you have to toe the line with those messianic freakos who believe they are doing god's work.
