This is a great tactic. The Arabs demand something, and after they get it, they want more, and more, and more. Do you think that they will ever be satisfied with their Palestinian state? They'll demand more, they'll demand a corridor between WB and Gaza. Then more land around it, then all of Jerusalem, then the cities with a significant Arab population, then all of Israel. STOP NOW! Don't give up anything. If they want peace, they can get a piece of paper signed by Mr Olmert assuring them that as long as they refrain from attacking Israel, Israel will NEVER attack them. How is that for a peace deal?

Doesn't that reveal a bigger problem with anger management? Perhaps we should forget about making any deals with the Palestinians unless they - all of them - agree to go to long-term anger management sessions. This can't go on: "If you don't do what we say, if you don't let us do our terror thing and arrest us, then we get mad and become even more extremist'. How can the world take these people seriously!

Like many others, I warned that this "no cost" concession of releasing hundreds of prisoners would only encourage demands for *more* concessions. Just *sometimes* I'd like to be proven wrong! One can only hope that sooner or later, after enough have died from their foolishness, Israel's leaders will learn that weakness only invites aggression. Peace will only come through strength, when Israel's enemies lose all hope of defeating her.

Releasing prisoners is a good step. However, if not followed by series of steps (from both sides), towards peace, this prisoner release will backfire against all.

To release prisoners for nothing is a sure sign that Israel doesn't want to survive. From the impotent Olmert to every single member who's responsible for this assanine decision is giving the message to all of Israel's enemies both within and on the outside that Israel does not have long to live.
