You seem to have a problem with there being a "Jewish" country. You don't seem to have a problem with there being more than 40 "Muslim" countries. Interesting how you accuse Jews of apartheid for having a country and you let muslims off the hook for having more than 40 countries. Sounds very hypocritical to me. I suppose muslims are allowed to conquer land and keep it guilt free. Remember that muslim countries teach hatred of Christians and Jews, honor killings are common, gays are killed, women and minorities are oppressed. When will this islamic apartheid end? Israeli cities like Haifa have mixed Arab-Jewish neighborhoods. Israeli Arabs have more political and free-speech rights than Arabs have in nearly every other country in the region. And Arabic, along with Hebrew and English, is used on stamps, coins, road signs, the Knesset web site, etc. because unlike other countries in the region, Israel has always recognized its minority languages and allows minorities to use them in an official capacity. In Apartheid South Africa, blacks had NONE of these rights and were arrested if they asked for them.

I'm very pleased by the nomination of our late King Mohammed V to this great title; but I'm aware of the stringent criteria to be admitted into this very select group. Whatever decision the Yad Vashem committee comes to, it will be based only on irrefutable facts and we must respect their judgment on this matter. I anticipate nothing, but I'd be immensely happy if it came to a positive decision.

This notion that King Mohammed V saved jews was a notion that we heard a lot during our youth and was repeated time and again by leaders of the jewish community in order to show the good relations between arabs and jews at the time. However historically speaking,I was unable to find any sound proof,a decree or a law or any other document attesting of this besides the fact that it was a hearsay. So please consult with historians(there is one in Washington) and others before awarding such a noble title to anyone. It will be an excellent publicity stunt for the advancement of the cause of peace however Yad Vashem is not looking for publicity but for truth. chalom Ve Chabat Chalom
