1. Hamas only has credibility with Iran and Syria!
redmiike ,   tel aviv and london   (07.21.07)
2. Re Blair - To do the right thing in the ME
Glenn ,   Canada   (07.22.07)
does not imply that it has to be "balanced". If the requests by one side are so destructive of the other side, so extreme, so unreasonable - they should be, put in simple terms, ignored. Enough already. There have been decades of discussions, and the fact is that Israel enemies do not even agree amongst themselves. Some, the "moderates", choose to reach their goals by stages. The latest example: you relased a couple of hundred criminals, but that wasn't enough. They want more. Or you left Gaza, but that wasn't enough either. You have to clear off the whole land of Israel. Some want some secularism to be preserved in their countries, others want different degrees of taliban-like regimes. There's no fair solution and there's no solution that will prevent wars. What's left is the need to make the only democracy in the ME strong and as safe as possible. That's not done by carving up its territory and giving it to its enemies, while arming those enemies with the latest technology. So, that's the only message to Blair and Bush that is conducive to peace. Strengthen Israel. Say no to any more land concessions. Fight terror in Gaza and the WB. The whole ME is in turmoil. How can anyone think that by forcing Israel to surrender a pitiful amount of land in that large ME is going to make any difference for world peace or even peace with Israel. The ME countries want power, they want nukes, they want dominance over their neighbors. And they want Israel to be destroyed. Israel is a puny little bit of a country. Leave it alone. Stop demanding concessions from the Jews. They are not the cause of the world problems.
3. Blair brings back the roman empire to center stage.
Hashems word is ,   right 100%ofthe time   (07.22.07)
4. JUST A WASTE OF TIME - STAY HOME BLAIR
(07.22.07)
This exercise is over before its begun. We all know there'll be no peace. Hamas wont budge - they want Israel destroyed. They're quite ardent about it. How many times do they have to say it dopey? They love stupid games like this - getting the naive do-gooders all sucked in to their 'plight' with absolutely no intentions whatsoever of making any changes at all.
5. on Israel account
Yohanan   (07.22.07)
Blair is the new figure that will press Israel for granting more "gestures" and "confidence building concessions" to the Arabs. -No one is asking the Arabs to do anything except beg to stop shooting at Israel. Obviously, Arabs learned that this is their best card. why stop it ?
6. CREDIBILITY - That's Very Funny.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (07.22.07)
Blair has credibility? I guess as much as Hamas, Olmert, Ms Rice, Livni, Abbas, Bush, our Knesset, Hezbollah, Assad, the Iranian regime, the EU, the UN. Using the word "credibility" is INCREDIBLE - as credible as Ynet & the rest of the media.
7. To #6
Charles ,   Ashkelon   (07.22.07)
Terry you must be a very sad, bitter and negative personality. Your comments are always very agressive and one-sided. Always attacking and never giving alternatives. And no, nuking Iran and flattening Gaza are no realistic options. I think you don't even have the slightest idea of what the consequences would be. Of course, Terry is not the only one spitting venom in these talkbacks. I'm still waiting for some constructive, realistic criticism. If the only thing you do is demonizing your own government you can't call yourself a true patriot, and for that matter, jew or israeli. Like they say, if you can't beat em, join em, so I'd like to see you in the Knesset with your easy solutions, OK? Regards
8. # 7 Bravo Charles Perhaps Terry will leave ..
Max ,   Herzlia   (07.23.07)
Bravo Charles, I'm also so tired of hearing Terry's hubristic and tunnel visioned rants.. perhaps he'll do us all a favour and set up his own perfect republic somewhere else - Gaza?
9. marginalize Hamas no, but...
t.i ,   Israel   (07.23.07)
The European union must keep boycott Hamas's goverment because Hamas does'nt accept quartet's benchmarks. peace process include a mutual understanding and recogniztion without it, the whole process is useless. the best option on the table right now is to initiaitive an economicals investments in the west bank, if the these steps would beef up abu-mazen's support, and the Gazans will change their opinions. economical horrizon is the best way to stay out from radiclazion, it has been worked thousands of years, you remmber the slogan: "vote for me and you won't be hungry", it still could be success on the palestians territories today. I'm always optimist, but at the same time I'm ready to fight against my enemies- whom there are and where they are!!! nice day or night, my fellows!!!
10. Ha Ha Hamas telling Blair what to do?
